Hi Guys, found this latest version of Lewa OS 5.1 on original Lewa website.

I thought I should make a topic and share with you.

 

All credit goes to the Official Lewa Developers

 

It's stable and fast and smooth and battery friendly and aesthetically awesome and...

The official version is for Y300-0000 (dual sim phone) Unicom version (no Google apps, only some basic Google services to sync contacts etc). But it works well with our Y300-0100

Installation Instructions

Reboot to recovery and
1. BACKUP YOUR CURRENT ROM
2. Wipe Dalvik Cache, Cache, Data, System and Cust
3. Flash the ROM (if you get flashing unsuccessful message, reboot the recovery and try again)
4. Flash Lewa call fix
5. Wipe Dalvik Cache and Cache
6. Reboot And Enjoy!

 

P.S: this rom will boot up in Chinese, so don’t panic. Once it completes the loading,

1. Select settings icon and 

2. Go to "ALL SETTINGS”,

3. Select "Language & Input"

4. Select "language" and

5. Finally select "English" 

6. Reboot the rom.

I'd disabled following apps using titanium backup and gives more free RAM and disable Chinese Craps. (I recommend to disable (freeze) them instead of uninstall else weekly update not working).

 

Please make sure you freeze "Sogou Input  (OEM)" only if you install other keyboard (like Huawei or google) and make it default.

Installed 6 days ago , Y300 - 0100 was having some camera problem.Camera just crashing.

yes, working perfectly.

that was the issue with some old builds. it is fixed now. (it was working till Mar 14 version. then broke. but now it is working

You can just see it from first screenshot. I didn't installed it.

it's not milky screen. it is pure white theme Lewa OS uses. (like IOS). One of the Best looking UI.

 

try at least once, you won't regret.

 Could you try stock Cexstel with this?

I am not sure Lewa is using stock kernel, so I am afraid to try Cexstel or any other custom kernel.

 

by the way, I'd checked and found that init.d support is there in lewa kernel but it is not supporting SWAP so I have not tried Swapdragonx either.

but will try with Cexstel and Synopsis later and update you guys.

Yeah milky colors are here. For those who dont know what this is look at the first picture of launcher - there you can see backround which color translations are umm ... just bad. This is because Chinesse phones are using different display drivers or what. CM had this too before someone (i do not remember who now sorry) fixed it, it was one of the CM guru's here.

you are right, but this milky screen is not affecting day to day usage. anyway it should be fixed. if it got fixed in CM then need to findout who has done it and then we can add it to this rom.
