Guest fonz93 Posted June 15, 2014 Report Posted June 15, 2014 Is that SELinux important thing, why disabled by kernel on CM11? Just asking... Because the kernel is natively made for android 4.1, because is ported to android 4.4, SELinux can't work, is a feature for android 4.3+
Guest Posted June 15, 2014 Report Posted June 15, 2014 I could put some effort in making it work actually. But honestly: "SELinux" was made with the help of the NSA. So if you consider it a security feature it makes me laugh
Guest thetonyxx Posted June 15, 2014 Report Posted June 15, 2014 I've been testing ZRAM for a while and wouldn't say that the impact on the battery is so huge that you should stay away from using ZRAM. Of course it depends on your workload and on other factors. EDIT: maybe the battery drain was true for older and unpatched zram versions. But I think with those patches it's fine. my battery drain whit or whitout zram dont change or at least not enough to notice it

Guest Posted June 16, 2014 Report Posted June 16, 2014 Thx fonz! :) Please report back if the radio is working properly now.
Guest SaurabhRCk Posted June 16, 2014 Report Posted June 16, 2014 Thx fonz! :) Please report back if the radio is working properly now. radio is working great in cm11 with latest release. Just the volume control is not working while using headphone. its fixed! But I guess its a rom's issue! not kernel! it was before there too wit stock, and chil360's
Guest hgoldy300 Posted June 17, 2014 Report Posted June 17, 2014 Any one tested it with slimkat? Is the performance better than chil360 kernel?
Guest Posted June 17, 2014 Report Posted June 17, 2014 Repacked kernel for chil's SlimKat: http://www60.zippyshare.com/v/90811502/file.html chil's kernel still fits better to his ROM. This kernel doesn't include many of the changes he has done and SELinux isn't working with it.
Guest hgoldy300 Posted June 17, 2014 Report Posted June 17, 2014 Ok, thank you. You are doing a great job, I'll keep an eye on this topic.
Guest fonz93 Posted June 17, 2014 Report Posted June 17, 2014 (edited) Added last GPU OC kernel Edited June 17, 2014 by fonz93
Guest Posted June 17, 2014 Report Posted June 17, 2014 We should find a way that you don't have to re-pack and upload any new build I push out. Maybe we should make some tutorial instead, so ppl can re-pack the latest kernel on their own?

Guest thetonyxx Posted June 20, 2014 Report Posted June 20, 2014 it may be that the kernel is not optimized in the I / O to the flash memory on cm10.1? the very low point reached in internel memory / database bench, only 800 vs. 1200 points of slim stock whit the recent kernel synopsi someone has noticed this?
Guest Vule991 Posted June 22, 2014 Report Posted June 22, 2014 @fonz93 Can repack latest nightly 20.06? Or this have same features like 1706?
Guest fonz93 Posted June 22, 2014 Report Posted June 22, 2014 @fonz93 Can repack latest nightly 20.06? Or this have same features like 1706? Do you want the 100hz kernel or 200hz?, which ROM are you using?
Guest Vule991 Posted June 22, 2014 Report Posted June 22, 2014 Which is better? Use Paranoid Android 4.4 RC2, but is compatible with synopsis kernel. :)
