Firstly , you must root your device , with cydia impactor ... http://www.cydiaimpactor.com/ .

It's easy to root it with cydia impactor , the program will install su binary , here's a guide ...http://androidxda.com/root-android-device-cydia-impactor

After you root your phone , download SuperSu and terminal emulator from playstore .

Then follow this guide ... http://www.modaco.com/topic/365228-recovery-clockworkmod-6036-for-zte-blade-v/#entry2159148 ... you will find how to install cwm on rooted device at the end of first post .

1. copy recovery-cwm6036-8225.img to the root of your phone's sdcard ( download the cwm6036-8225-v2.img and delete "-v2" at the end , so it will be cwm6036-8225.img )

2. execute following commands in terminal emulator

su ( hit enter )

dd if=/sdcard/recovery-cwm6036-8225.img of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.3/by-num/p16 ( hit enter )

3. That's it , you're ready to flash a custom rom.

I think you're ok now ...

You must start to learn Miui now , it has a lot of options and you need a xiaomi account .

Make a xiaomi account through your pc ...

It depends on usage , for me a day with heavy usage ...

i use 4.8.8 (mail app it's a breeze vs 4.2)

 

also , can you integrate please Flash Player in System Apps? (i can copy them and then flash again)

Phone is for Emails (on the go) and Calling People (or get calls) not play games . and ocasionally GPS..

I'm also Miui fan , and i agree with you about free ram and gaming , this is a phone for sure but some users wanted to play heavy games on their phones and i respect them.

About , flash player ...

Move it in system/app/ .. manualy , cause if i put it to system/app/ then it will not work and you must install it again.

For viper4 android FX and miui browser , yes i can add them to the rom.

For adaway , you can try to add it in system/app/ and give permissions ( rw-r--r-- ) , though you can check this thread also ... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1916098

Clock and some other apps need some more translation , i will check it ...

4.3.1 is just a rom with edited build.prop , so i don't share it , but i found a december update of Miui JB ( 4.1.2 ) and maybe i will share this one.

Have a taste of Miui KitKat 4.4.4 on BladeV ....

It has another one bug , internal sd does not exist even on PC , so this rom needs external sd card to work.

Personally i don't like it more than Miui JB roms , but anyway is a KitKat Miui Rom and we must be happy that we got it , even with some bugs.

I don't like that it can't recognize internal sd at least on pc , and the other thing that i don't like is the ram ( that's why after installation of facebook or other apps which used to synch a lot , phone become laggy ) , it seems a bit heavy for me too .

For MIUI JB i found the latest rom ( dec 2014 ) , i will upload it as soon as possible.

Actually there is an update ( 05/12/2014 ) , but is not so good that's why i didn't upload it.

The version before is 08/08/2014 ( Miui V5 4.8.8 which i can make it a little faster with some more ram but i prefer MIbladeUI-V5 which is older but clean , faster than latest versions with more ram and i made some changes to this rom but i didn't upload it yet ( this is the rom that i use more than others ).

Sorry for going slightly out of topic, but what are the odds that this MIUI port would work with another phone with a really similar hardware to the ZTE Blade V? The only difference between them apparently are the screen size, internal sd size and camera MP. Same SOC.

Sorry , i can't understand the question exactly ... do you mean that you have a Phicomm phone and you want to flash a rom for BladeV ??

That's correct. Since the hardware is very similar, I was wondering if there is any chance of success. The support for phicomm phones is zero, nor there is any clockworkmod available. Since it's a cheap phone i'm willing to experiment :mellow:

Without CWM you can't do anything.

If you have CWM then you can try to port BladeV rom to Phicomm , BUT remember you can't flash BladeV rom to Phicomm cause you will brick it , you must port it to make it work , do not flash it as it is ...
