Guest lordofazeroth Posted July 15, 2014 Report Posted July 15, 2014 Hi guys. I havent been around for a long time as I had a few Nexus devices. But I need to do my Blade new. Currently I am on swedish snow, works excellent. Should I install CM11 from zeelog for everyday use? The phone will be given to a person not familiar with Android and he will only use it as a phone, no internet or anything. (Thats why I am keeping the Blade) Is CM11 working better on this 512 Mb RAM device?
Guest buchciarz Posted July 15, 2014 Report Posted July 15, 2014 I think you shoud stay on Swedish Snow. Battery works longer. Rom is fast and smooth. There is more space on apps. Swedish Snow works on partiotion /system 128 then on data you have 326MB. This is the best choice if you want to have no problem with the phone.
Guest Roeloff Posted July 15, 2014 Report Posted July 15, 2014 Yeah, stick with Swedish Snow. You'll get frustrated with the slower (albeit amazing) KitKat ROM for everyday use. Buy a new phone if you must have a modern ROM.
Guest bluegoof Posted July 16, 2014 Report Posted July 16, 2014 Hi to all, I want and am going to install Swedish Snow on my Blade as well. Here is the way how to do it, I wind it quite difficult. Hope it will be more easier than it looks. http://www.modaco.com/topic/335781-22apr-guide-how-to-install-a-custom-rom-on-the-zte-u-v880-or-gen2-device/ The guide speaks about Swedish_Spring_RLS5 but I want to install Swedish Snow RLS7, is this OK. Is the process of installing the same? Thank you very much. Martin
Guest bluegoof Posted July 21, 2014 Report Posted July 21, 2014 I have started the entire process just few minutes ago, but I am stuck from the same beginning. First thing I was going to download everything needed: z4root 1.3.0 (z4root.1.3.0.apk) ZTE-Blade Recovery Manager 0.34b (check you get the right one - 0.34b) recovery-clockwork-3.0.2.4-blade-g2.img - not the ZIP not g1 file but could not find any of these on Internet. The one z4root I have downloaded and started installing was some kind of UC browser I did not want. Please could you post here the right links for the original files? Thank you very much. Martin
Guest chorao Posted July 22, 2014 Report Posted July 22, 2014 ZTE-Blade Recovery Manager 0.34b (check you get the right one - 0.34b) just uploaded it https://mega.co.nz/#!upI2WKyT!aOzJ3TN01F0rJTCUlGdmvEN2WUKlqey1sM3plJkGDdI
Guest killadroid Posted July 22, 2014 Report Posted July 22, 2014 I prefer cm11,pretty stable, latest and constantly updated.security bugs get fixed quickly while on older android versions you're prone to this bugs
