Guest Coreyz0rZ Posted August 5, 2014 Report Posted August 5, 2014 Hello, I have a Y300 and was wondering if anyone knew of a way to tackle or knew of a KK ROM that doesn't stutter during music playback, every ROM I've tried so far stutters no matter what music player I use. Currently I'm using JB 4.1.2 as I've found it to be perfectly smooth and is perfect as a daily driver. I just want to have the satisfaction of having the latest Android on my phone. If anyone knows of a non audio stuttering ROM I'd appreciate any help I can get. Thanks.
Guest Nidzap Posted August 6, 2014 Report Posted August 6, 2014 I dont have any problems with slimkat really , are you tried it?
Guest bogdanwp Posted August 6, 2014 Report Posted August 6, 2014 Have you tried setting the minimum processor power to 320 mhz ?
Guest Coreyz0rZ Posted August 12, 2014 Report Posted August 12, 2014 Have you tried setting the minimum processor power to 320 mhz ? Yes mate, I've tried SlimKat too, tried pretty much every 4.4.* I can... I'll see if Slimkat is even more stable now!
Guest LotR656 Posted August 13, 2014 Report Posted August 13, 2014 Try this ROM, I use it right now and I don't have any problems. http://www.modaco.com/topic/364200-cyanogenmod-101-build-r8-290813/ If you want to flash SlimKat ROM, flash 6.6 or 7.2 version, because 6.8 and 7.0 has some lags.

Used it before. I really want to stick to KitKat if I can, the UI is my favorite. Using SlimKat right now, it's not perfect but better. Btw did I mention I use Viper4Android, just incase someone knows a fix, tweak... I've noticed when the CPU changes between frequencies it stutters... Not all the time though. Really bugs me as that's the main purpose for my device.
Guest LotR656 Posted August 14, 2014 Report Posted August 14, 2014 Do you use music app that comes with SlimKat? If you use it, try with Apollo app, I can upload it here if you want.
Guest Coreyz0rZ Posted August 15, 2014 Report Posted August 15, 2014 No mate, I use Poweramp and I've got the apollo apk, I pulled it out of /system/app from a CyanogenMod ROM for other ones without it, I even installed it on my mom's phone haha! (Same phone, just stock B199)
Guest Coreyz0rZ Posted August 15, 2014 Report Posted August 15, 2014 Oh and Direct Audio is disabled as I use Viper4Android, audio buffer size is on auto and Adio thread priority is on +3.
Guest LotR656 Posted August 15, 2014 Report Posted August 15, 2014 Is problem is still present, try to go to setting>apps and in Downloaded tab touch on every app that you installed and press Force stop (if something pop up confirm). When you stop them all try to play music. Send feedback.
Guest Romagnolo1973 Posted August 18, 2014 Report Posted August 18, 2014 Why usin poweramp (that has a fantastic EQ) + Viper? Try disable Viper (that is not made for our low budget phone and is a battery eater) and use Poweramp alone and your problems are gone and the music output is better
Guest racky29 Posted August 18, 2014 Report Posted August 18, 2014 I use CM11 nightly from a few days ago, didn't have any stutter or problems using Apollo I'm using Chill 0.49 kernel, #stockmem repack dark cricket

Try disable Viper (that is not made for our low budget phone and is a battery eater) and use Poweramp alone and your problems are gone and the music output is better I use Poweramp because it's very light on CPU and the EQ doesn't compare to Viper4Android. I use VHS+ and the low frequency boost from it is astounding. Also Another reason for Poweramp is the balance control hardly any other fast music app has. I'm using SergioHp's PURE CM v1.3 as it's almost a daily driver and the UI is smooth as anything. I'm not having a problem now, it's perfect as it is and my battery seems great still with Viper (I use super audio quality mode too). Only thing I need to do now is download a ROM with a working Camera apk and pull it out of the /system/app/ folder and job's a good'n. Sorry for going on but I just give in with KitKat. I think these devices are just not good enough for KK.
