Guest fonz93 Posted August 24, 2014 Report Posted August 24, 2014 (edited) Hi, this ROM is made using Kra1o5 sources with some changes, made to improve battery life and stability.KERNEL: https://github.com/CyanogenMod101Y300/android_kernel_synopsis Linaro 4.9.3 What this ROM has: MPdecision enabled by default The provider name is displayed in notifications even without wi-fi/data connection (Thanks H3ROS for the fix) zRAM is working VoIP apps are working, atleast on Y300 (i have personally tested Facebook Messenger calls, Whatsapp calls and latest version of Viber (31/03/2015)) Changed RIL with joestone's RIL You can switch from notification to QS and viceversa with a swipe Possibility to choose an animation scales values between 0.0x and 2.0x Rewrited the Quick Settings menu and notification toggles to look like CM11 Possibility to set "smaller tiles" in QS, to get 4 column of tiles instead of 3 Status Bar Quick Peek Double tap to sleep (on status bar) feature Improved kill animation speed in recents app Possibility to delete a screenshot directly from notification panel Possibility to change button backlight brightness and timeout directly from settings (default brightness 7%, timeout 5s) Fixed some OMX issues with streaming apps Included the cust folder and correctly symlinked, this is needed for some providers in some countries to show the correct carrier name (notice: I moved the cust folder in system, this to prevent some accidental wipes) Increased audio (With the separate .zip linked below) on G510/Y300 (more than any other tweak or app) Fixed led notifications wakelock (blink) Nokia X Adreno libraries Other minor changes to improve battery life FAQs: 1) Why doesn't "HERE maps" download my maps giving me an error?- There is a confused SD card detection in HERE maps, just copy the "here-maps" folder from the internal memory to the SD card (or viceversa, it depends on your default memory storage), this method can help also in other similar situations (thanks Hardware Upgrade Forum).2) How to set SD card as default memory?- I removed the switchable pair from Settings and added an option in the build.prop, just change "persist.sys.vold.switchexternal" from "0" to "1", keep in mind that this does the same thing as the old switchable pair in Settings, it means that sdcard0 (internal sd) and sdcard1 (external sd) will swap, so external sd will be sdcard0 and internal sd will be sd card1. Why did i do this? Because i tested that with non switchable pair the battery drain decreased in a little amount, so, to avoid people into using it, i added an option not user-friendly (the build.prop method).3) Why is cLock missing?- I removed it because the first time you flash the ROM, it'll eat the battery using GPS until you disable it, download Chronus from Play Store, as it follows CyanogenMod sources.4) Why is standard Email app missing?- It eats RAM even if you don't use it and i don't like this, Gmail or other email apps from Play Store are better for sure if you want to use an email app.5) I have some video playback issues, what can i do?- There is a problem somewhere, don't know why nor how to resolve it (for now), sometimes video playback doesn't work and you get a black screen, to solve this reboot your phone, other playback issues may be caused by some of our OMX's, that are prebuilts from stock 4.1.1, i don't know how to solve this problem now, but all of the custom ROMs (non-stock based) present in this forum got the same issue, peoples live with that so you can live with it too. 6) My data icons are grey and i haven't push notifications, how to solve it? - read here: http://www.modaco.com/topic/373280-jb-422-cyanogenmod-101-rom-15032015/?p=2256402 IMPORTANT:1) I will not give any support to peoples that just report bugs (sometimes caused by the user) without a full description and logcat of the problemDOWNLOADS: IF YOU HAVE ANY PROBLEM WITH THE DOWNLOAD LINKS, SEND ME A PM, I'LL SEND YOU THE ORIGINAL ONES(if you're downloading from mobile and you have an adblocker, you will probably get a blank screen, due to the adblocker) ROM (Y300/G510): (if you installed the button backlight script in previous version, do a format /system only before flashing the ROM, then flash the ROM and Gapps package, this to do a cleanup of the script and his backup script)LATEST VERSION: GOOGLE DRIVE ROM (G330)(NO RADIO FM): GOOGLE DRIVEGAPPS CM10.1: GOOGLE DRIVE (UPDATED 15-03-2015 with proper DPI version of Google Play Services)ADD-ON:- HIGH AUDIO FLASHABLE (Y300/G510 Only) (It breaks Whatsapp voice calls and other VoIP apps, flash it at your own risk, if you want to back to stock libraries, just flash the ROM without any wipe): GOOGLE DRIVE- DSP MANAGER: GOOGLE DRIVECHANGELOG:15/03/2015:- Added FRANDOM- Added Dynamic Fsync- Fixed a problem with fonts08/03/2015:- Backported some features from CM11 (thanks AriesVE-DevCon-TEAM) Possibility to change button backlight brightness and timeout directly from settings (default brightness 7%, timeout 5s) Rewrited the Quick Settings menu and notification toggles to look like CM11 Fixed the annoying lag when you switch from notification drawer to QS and viceversa Status bar Quick Peek is now enabled by default with 5s timeout, it can't be disabled for now, i'll reimplement it in settings in future updates Possibility to set "smaller tiles" in QS, to get 4 column of tiles instead of 3 Added double tap to sleep (on status bar) feature Possibility to choose an animation scales values between 0.0x and 2.0x Add off option for lockscreen battery status Possibility to change Screen-Off animation (electron beam, shade and off) Different method for the sd card switch (read FAQ) Updated fonts - Some minor kernel updates- Removed the button brightness addon for obvious reasons (i implemented the option to change it in the ROM)- Most of the checkbox are now disabled by default, you need to enable them in settings (example: power menu entries)19/02/2015:- New kernel (latest moddingg33k's work)- Build kernel with linaro 4.9.3- Switch back to prebuilt Wifi modules, to fix some issues- Back to Superuser- GPU overclock from 300 Mhz to 320 Mhz24/12/2014:- Fixed echo in voice calls- Build kernel with Linaro 4.9.2- minor changes19/12/2014:- Most of the VoIP apps seems to work now, atleast on my Y300 (i tried latest version of Facebook Messenger and Viber)- Fixed FC in Twitch app (required dalvik heap grow limit always change at each update of the app, currently is 49,1 MB, i hope it won't change again)- Updated SuperSU to 2.40- Updated more blobs15/12/2014:- Updated Adreno libraries from the latest Nokia X factory image- Fixed a bug that occurs with LG (and Huawei) Adreno libraries in Minecraft and maybe other games- Updates from CodeAurora06/12/2014:- Added SuperSU (currently 2.37)(Thanks H3ROS for some tips)- Added "Status Bar Quick Peek"- Improved "Status Bar Quick Peek" to only toggle on a real swipe- Added "Status Bar Quick Peek" timeout control- Improved kill animation speed in recents app- Added possibility to delete a screenshot directly from notification panel- Added 0,25x and 0,75x animation scale- Back to media-caf- Back to joestones's RIL (for peoples that come from test build)- Updated kernel to 0.53- Disabled CPU OC- Disabled GPU OC- Increased ADSP size (1 MB higher)- Increased MDP size (2 MB higher)- RAM available is now 390 MB (due to ADSP, MDP changes)- Ramdisk cleanupSCREENSHOTS: Credits: - Kra1o5 - Dazzozo - joestone - H3ROS - moddingg33k- chil360- ZolaIII- luca020400- KonstaT - ChepKun - CyanogenMod - LegacyMod- arter97- CodeAurora- Flea997 - Everyone i forgot to mentionMy sources: https://github.com/CyanogenMod101Y300 Edited May 31, 2015 by fonz93

I think it's dancing screen bug with G510 and IRS related with recovery graphics solved by Dazz here but I am not sure: https://github.com/Dazzozo/android_device_huawei_u8833/commit/ce32f2dd0bd0f4f4b2ae754ccb1aa942693922fe

Guest matteussz_ Posted August 24, 2014 Report Posted August 24, 2014 Post to help me find back, if its battery is really better than with the "simple" CM, then this might be my new daily driver.
Guest StewieTech Posted August 24, 2014 Report Posted August 24, 2014 Battery is very good, perhaps the best so far, maybe like a cleaned stock rom, something like that. It´s very fast and smooth. Youtube works without problem; i always had a problem, certain videos didn´t work and i had to restart the phone, other times the status bar didn´t close while watching a video - all good now. The swipe on the top bar is very nice. I´ll let you know more in the future. ps: shoud i touch any performance settings? I´m using the rom default settings.
