Guest KonstaT Posted August 25, 2014 Report Posted August 25, 2014 (edited) This is my build of Dees-Troy's Team Win Recovery Project (TWRP) 3.0.2-0 for ZTE Open C / Kis 3 (Beeline Smart2, Moche/MEO Smart A16, ZTE V811W, ZTE V811, Skinny V811, Optus Hop Smart, ZTE Blade M, etc). TWRP is a popular touch based recovery and everything should be working in this build. Internal sdcard is handled differently on Open C and Kis 3 so this recovery only supports external sdcard. Do not mirror my builds! Please post a link to this page instead. recovery-twrp-3.0.2-0-kis3.zip (CWM/TWRP flashable)http://konstakang.com/devices/kis3/TWRP md5:7eeb358cd5e6f0d5a7231b7fda2f401f recovery-twrp3020-kis3.imghttp://konstakang.com/devices/kis3/TWRP md5:98ca1ea09aa5931cc5dd4a8916e76679 Do not use this recovery to flash official updates from ZTE website! You need to repack them for custom recovery or use the stock recovery to install. How to install: The same you would install any other recovery image (e.g. ClockWorkMod). Sources for the recovery are available in my github. You can compile it yourself using CM12.1 source tree by cloning TWRP source from omnirom to bootable/recovery-twrp and cherry-picking this commit for the kis3 device tree. Like my work? Guest debian2 Posted December 5, 2014 Report Posted December 5, 2014 What about 2.8.1.0? To be or not to be?
Guest KonstaT Posted December 6, 2014 Report Posted December 6, 2014 What about 2.8.1.0? To be or not to be? Why? What's new in 2.8.1.0? What's stopping you from making (and sharing) a build since you need it so badly?
Guest KonstaT Posted February 13, 2015 Report Posted February 13, 2015 New build. Everything should be working as usual. Both UMS and MTP are now supported. recovery-twrp-2.8.5.0-kis3.zip (CWM/TWRP flashable) http://www.mediafire.com/?t06bxcw6tzhnxpa md5:b1b3be8eb8f6af487b24560668cc6fe4 recovery-twrp2850-kis3.img http://www.mediafire.com/?95du78omwuy9o90 md5:868971831c592ae21a6624e389030b75 -TWRP 2.8.5.0
Guest mi_guel69 Posted November 20, 2015 Report Posted November 20, 2015 hi konstat, do you have any plans to release a new version of twrp? with it we could use the resize option and use the 4gb of internal storage as data
Guest KonstaT Posted November 20, 2015 Report Posted November 20, 2015 (edited) hi konstat, do you have any plans to release a new version of twrp? with it we could use the resize option and use the 4gb of internal storage as dataI was thinking I might do a release at some point when the next TWRP version bump comes (I did build 2.8.7.0 at one point). Time stamp on backups should be fixed, that's all. You've completely misunderstood what resize2fs does. It's for resizing existing partitions (e.g. if you've first fastboot flashed wrong size data image on some devices). It's not used to change partition layout (on this device you can do that with a windows flasher between Open C and Kis 3 layouts). There's more than twenty partitions on this device's 4gb eMMC (all necessary) and you can never utilize all that for single partition. Edited November 20, 2015 by KonstaT
Guest Alchess Posted December 21, 2015 Report Posted December 21, 2015 Hi Konsta, This twrp flashed ok on my newly bought EE version of the phone. Although I can't use it because touchscreen does not allow respond at all. I know that in other builds you have done for lollipop you included that touch screen will work fine. Your CWM build works fine with flashing with the EE version I did your marshmallow 13/12/2015 all right. If/when you decide to update TWRP can you add a patch etc, to this build so it can flash your roms onto my phone. Your help in this matter would be most appreciated, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

This is a rather old build and it would be only a matter of making a new one. It's been on my todo list for ages but meanwhile you can just use CWM. I actually personally prefer it over TWRP.
