Guest tcpaulh Posted September 20, 2014 Report Posted September 20, 2014 Someone posted a link to some source code a while ago but I cant find the original post to give credit. I've uploaded it to https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0BzntcEGpkvXOSmNOX1Rkd2lpZXc&usp=sharing Hopefully it's of some use and not just junk.
Guest slime00 Posted September 20, 2014 Report Posted September 20, 2014 do you know if those are full/bootable sources?
Guest jakethedooggg Posted September 20, 2014 Report Posted September 20, 2014 Was me. And sources aren't full, I mean, they are from Wiko Highway, we need the drivers and stuff and someone who knows developing. Not me...
Guest slime00 Posted September 20, 2014 Report Posted September 20, 2014 do you think bombing Coolpad's mail asking for full sources could bring something?
Guest Maringer Posted September 20, 2014 Report Posted September 20, 2014 Nah.Chinese manufacturers just tend to pretty much ignore any requests for source code and Mediatek are much the same themselves.
Guest slime00 Posted October 3, 2014 Report Posted October 3, 2014 http://www.xda-developers.com/android/mediatek-android-one-source/ it seems that, with the new partnership with google, Mediatek is "forced" to release full sources for their "one" devices. I wonder if those could be of some use into developing custom kernels for other mtk devices with similar hardware and also with different/newer processors like our mt6592. Anyway, it's still a good thing! :)
