Is possible change bands 850/1900 to 900/2100 with a radio soft flashing?

Greetings:

as the post title says, it is possible that task, or these bands are blocked in the radio chip? I have a Open C that works with american bands, but my operator in Venezuela works in european bands for 3G.

Flashing a different modem firmware won't make any difference. I've diff'ed the modems in FFOS_EU_EBAY_P821A10V1.0.0B06_LOG_DL and FFOS_US_EBAY_P821A10V1.0.0B06_LOG_DL engineering builds and they're identical.

Available radio bands are most likely stored in NV memory items. You could probably change those using QPST. You can find some guides for unlocking radio bands with QPST if you Google it. I wouldn't exactly recommend messing with that but at least first make a backup of your NV memory in QPST's 'Software Download' app if choose to do so.

I had read that, thanks for the advice. Maybe when I know more then i do it, for now I stay as I am. BTW, yor work is awesome!!! i use your CM11 rom.

Google also released today the code of Lollipop 5.1, will be a matter of time before Cyanogenmod take it and work with it.

Sorry for my english, is not very good.

Hi my friend, I am from venezuela but I have a problem with my phone after flash FFOS_EU_EBAY_P821A10V1.0.0B06_LOG_DL and then Android Kitkat, the problem is that my ZTE Open C from Movistar could no longer connect to 3G networks. I try Flash back Firefox OS and Flash Modem and nothing works. My IMEI is fine, could someone help me?

I don't know what exactly the Windows flasher does in technical sense and there's probably no way of knowing for sure. I've diff'ed the files in FFOS_EU_EBAY_P821A10V1.0.0B06_LOG_DL and FFOS_US_EBAY_P821A10V1.0.0B06_LOG_DL firmwares and IIRC everything was identical besides system.img (no difference in modem or anything related to that). It's also likely that it's only some build identifiers that are different between the two within the system image.

Available radio bands are likely stored in NV memory items and I'm quite sure the Windows flasher does something there too as some people have completely lost their IMEI with a failed flash. You shouldn't flash US devices with EU flasher. Use the US flasher again before updating to Android KitKat to have 3G connectivity back. Someone else had a similar issue before.

WTF? why you doing that!!? if you want to flash android in your Open C must use the zips named "EU_FFOS+to+Android", only these, not the windows flasher!!! you test with another sim? you configure the "3G" preference in the settings?.

------------------------------------------------

Thanks for your help and reply, I followed the guide of Derpin7 exactly but with not luck, the issue with 3G Networks persist.

Something else that I can do?

I just followed this guide over here http://forum.xda-developers.com/firefox-os/general/zte-c-roms-cw-recovery-50-t2806173/page3 and flash the rom from the first post that include Gapps  and my wifi and sim card didn't working, after that, I flashed the file Kitkat_modem. My wifi and sim card working again but without 3G.. I'm just screw up! I wanna back my 3G :(

Yes, Windows flasher is for only those who need to have 'rooted' stock Firefox OS so that they can manually update Gaia/Gecko. Actually just flashing an unsecure boot.img will accomplish that so there's really not much reason at all for using a Windows flasher.

I'm not sure but maybe it's some other NV parameters that are screwed up (ESN, MEID, etc). You could backup/restore/change NV memory items with a tool called QPST but I have no idea what you'd actually need to change to get the 3G connectivity back.

Konstat, Alex said me via PM that he resolve the problem, the solution is very simple and pointless: I´m asked if he not checked the "erase CEFS" option when flashing the firmware, then he checked it, enable it,  and voila!! the 3G works again...

Great, good to know. :)

ZTE has instructed to check 'erase CEFS' only when switching between OS (Firefox OS -> Android, and vice versa). Apparently it should be always checked? I've never used the Windows flasher myself and I don't plan to. ;)

If i want to convert the open C partition style to kis3, i must use the windows flasher? and then install CWM and restore a previous nandroid backup that made before the process?

Yes, and yes, something along those lines. You probably also need to restore a stock ROM first to get your device recognized by the Windows tool.
