Guest FdL 1899 Posted May 14, 2015 Report Posted May 14, 2015 I'm not sure where's the right place to ask this, so i'll just write it down here anyway. I'm a Y300 user for 1-2 years and recently buy a new redmi 2. Then i decide to make the Y300 as a 'game phone' I've install lot of games on the device and suddenly i remember that we should be able to connect a ps3 controller to an android device. So, i grab a new ps3 controller, connect it with the sixaxis controller app (pair it already with the sixaxis pair tool) and then something strange happen. The controller somehow work, but only for approximate 15-30 seconds. After that, it's just do nothing. However the light indicator no.1 on the gamepad still on, just like as if it were connected. And when i try to stop the bluetooth server from the sixaxis app, i won't be able to start the service again until i reboot the device. Anyone know what's the problem? Probably there are some of you that already have an experience with the sixaxis on y300 before. Any help will be appreciated here. btw: 1. there's nothing wrong with the controller. I manage to use it without any problem on my redmi 2 (stock MIUI). 2. I'm using CM10 Gamer -V1 ROM and minimal Gapps by jaccs and cexstel kernel on the Y300
Guest Tripto Posted May 14, 2015 Report Posted May 14, 2015 (edited) Hello! I have the same problem with Ipega Controller. Kitkat roms works fine for me, try using Slimkat or any other 4.4 rom. (Sorry for my bad english.) Edited May 14, 2015 by Tripto
Guest fonz93 Posted May 14, 2015 Report Posted May 14, 2015 (edited) I think that the kernel needs some drivers, like UHID or something like that Edited May 14, 2015 by fonz93

Guest FdL 1899 Posted May 15, 2015 Report Posted May 15, 2015 Thanks for your advice guys, really help. I've just finish flashing the AOSP Mod and the controller now work flawlessly However, i miss the custom kernel functionality here. If i install synopsis kernel, as referred by CreasingMass, will it break the bluetooth functionality? Or is there any other recommended kernel? Probably you can also tell me which file that manage kernel, so i can make backup first, so if i'm not satisfied with the custom kernel i can revert to the old one. Thanks again guys.

The only thing that every custom kernel breaks, is the bluetooth headset, this because Huawei never released an updated kernel source that includes this fix, anyway, you can just try, then if it breaks the controller too, you can flash the stock kernel again, there is a flashable .zip made by H3ROS for the stock kernel in this thread, i always miss that post unfortunately.
Guest killadroid Posted May 15, 2015 Report Posted May 15, 2015 yes it will break bluetooth.stick to stock kernel
