I'm not sure if anyone else has tried this, but I've just rooted my SU6 with "WonderShare MobileGO":

http://mobilego.wondershare.com/

(Windows Desktop app - works on Windows 10 64, btw)

Tested drivers for adb; work on Windows 10 64, too

[UPDATE]: This tool also installs "SuperSU", and root has now survived 3 reboots :D

The version that runs on-device I assume?

Love it just for the name.

Nope, it's a Windows installer... but hey, it works! :D

It does say...

In addition, it can complete all the Android device management on PC, such as backup & restore data, rooting devices, file management, sending text messages, etc.

So it might work!

Wasn't sure if that meant it could do the stuff you do on your PC. Hey ho.

Paul, could you do me a favour, and send me an untouched "build.prop"? I accidentally did ">" instead of ">>" when echoing a line to it... and now it only has ONE line (the one I added) and I dare not reboot :(

Thanks mate.

[EDIT] Never mind, pulled it out of the firmware ZIP :) thanks anyway.

Interesting sounding app. Had a good look through the site it says that there is no unroot option available. Been out the game since the orange San Francisco so would issues could this cause?

Phone is unrooted and chrome still doesn't work, I've formatted it.

Gonna try root with this method and see if chrome works.. Edt income in few minutes.

Wow, thank you very much, chrome is working now. Rooted with MobileGo and all fine. Thank you so much <3

Well.. It works but binaries doesn't update. Always failing.. So.. To me not the best method.

Now i can't even update the binarie after uninstall SuperSu... This method isn't viable.

Happenend to me i had to install stock room via recovery and root again su updates now looks

Even disabling kingroot still messes with supersu so to be safe install stock ROM through recovery and then use the tool

Just gonna unroot phone and stay unrooted, better for now.

Thanks @macbreakweeklyfan

This method worked a treat. I started from a clean unrooted stock base and I don't have any issues with chrome or updating binaries.

Well, you need to update binary, or its gonna be annoying the notification to update and supersu maybe wont work well.
I tested the root on clean master, tryied to disable auto starts apps and didnt worked. That means root isnt 100% functional. When you can disable auto start apps on clean master it means root is 100% functional. I already tested that. Just flashed stock ROM and gonna stay with unrooted phone until some1 cooks a ROM.
