Guest matejsolid Posted October 20, 2015 Report Posted October 20, 2015 How to enable usb storage ( mass storage ) on MIUI 7 ?I connect USB to PC but only USB charging. :/ Second, how to transfer apps to SD card and why are all photos/videos stored on internal memory altough I choose in Settings to save on external memory ?Link2SD wont work on MIUI.
Guest Mouratti Posted October 20, 2015 Report Posted October 20, 2015 I guess on version 7, when you choose USB appear to select, files or other.Do you have USB debug active? About Link2SD i cant pass to card, to....maybe anyone can help us.
Guest matejsolid Posted October 20, 2015 Report Posted October 20, 2015 Yes,I have USB debug active,I'll try when I turn off usb debug altough I dont think it will change much.Yeah that is the biggest problem,link2says MIUI shares internal and external storage, issue begins when I try installing bigger games and storage internal fills quicklly. Also I cant install xposed or wsm manager,I get this message ( same while I try install xposed ).
Guest Mouratti Posted October 20, 2015 Report Posted October 20, 2015 I did try xposed, but im sure that sameone expert, will reply.
Guest korekore1 Posted October 21, 2015 Report Posted October 21, 2015 Yes,I have USB debug active,I'll try when I turn off usb debug altough I dont think it will change much.Yeah that is the biggest problem,link2says MIUI shares internal and external storage, issue begins when I try installing bigger games and storage internal fills quicklly. Also I cant install xposed or wsm manager,I get this message ( same while I try install xposed ).try xposed previous version,2.6.1
Guest matejsolid Posted October 21, 2015 Report Posted October 21, 2015 Thanks,I disabled USB debugging, mass storage now works :)Here is what I get whenever I try to install Xposed or WSM manager,I tried 2.6.1 but no effect. Also is there any way,I dont see how they would allow this issue to persist, transfer any app to SD card, why does MIUI stores every damn thing on internal memory :/

Guest johnickz Posted November 8, 2015 Report Posted November 8, 2015 (edited) PUSH NOTIFICATIONS BUG (DELAYING - NOT COMING AT ALL)This comes from Xioami EU forum, so all credits goes to this guy that posted and initially the guy that found this fix.Checked yesterday and everything working just fine, no Autostart, Lock or Battery Saver Disabled needed. Finally after 3-4 months, seems the problem to be solved. Hope sometime to be fixed at all. Why this bug?(jump to the solution if not interested)The problem is in three letters: GMC. Google Cloud Messaging.GCM is a platform that apps uses to exchange data and recieve push notifications. In my case, GCM doesn't work on wifi network. Why?It looks that lollipop ask for an ipv6, and some routers don't like this. So the connection is unstable, and GCM does'nt work correctly. How to solve this? Two ways:1. Disable ipv6 on your router2. Disable ipv6 on your smartphoneFor the first solution, go to the control panel of your router.I chose the second one, and here's what i did.two methods available, simple and advanced.Simple method1. Download Ipv6 disable app, launch it and give root access2. Connect to wifi, launch again the app3. Check the "Ipv6 status", and turn off the switchThat's it. Now GCM will start to work again, together with push notification. In the free version you can't flag "remember network", so you have to disable ipv6 every time you connect to wifi.If you don't like this, buy the full version, or go to the advanced methodAdvanced methodYou will create a script that disable ipv6 every time you connect to wifi. Here we go.1. Download Script Manager and give root access2. Open Script Manager, select Browse as Root, and navigate to a folder on your phone where you would like to have the script stored (for example SD card)3. Click the options button and select New Script4. Name it something relevant, e.g., disable_ipv65. In the editor that it opens, go below the "#!/system/bin/sh" line and enter the following:echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv6/conf/wlan0/disable_ipv66. Click the options button and select Save7. Select the script you just created in SManager and it will open a dialog, at the top select Su and Net, this will run the script as root and do so any time there is a change in the network interface8. Click SaveNow, whenever you connect to a wireless network, this script should run and disable ipv6. You can test this by disabling wifi, enabling it, and verifying that there is a 1 in the file /proc/sys/net/ipv6/conf/wlan0/disable_ipv6.All done. Your notification should now be back and work correctly. For the lazy ones, here is the script. Just copy and paste in your sdcard and skip points 3, 4, 5 and six (if this don't work, don0t be lazy and create your own script!)Verificationopen disable ipv6 app and check the switch taht indicates ipv6 status.or, if you prefer, go to proc/sys/net/ipv6/conf/wlan0/disable_ipv6 , and you'll find a "1" inside the fileImportant note: I am not an expert of script etc, i took the advanced method from here (copy and paste). All the creadits go to the author of the post. I just understood the link between this guide and the annoyng notification bug.Having trouble with the script?I had once, while using google maps in pedestrian mode, with gps and wifi enabled (not connected to any network). The script started to run again and again, so i opened it with Smanager, unchecked "Su" and "Root", and save. When I went back home, i thought i had to enable again su and net in the script to get wifi notification work, but there was no need to do this. So, if you have trouble, just uncheck su and net, and enable again only if neededHope this can help.Good luck and enjoy your xiaomi! Guest johnickz Posted December 11, 2015 Report Posted December 11, 2015 (edited) Using Needrom's both of authors ROMS and working perfect and bugless. (gumienny's : working fine, kouskous ROM : flash the first version then dirty flash the last update for 3G signal problems) I am using the ROMS about two months, just applied the fix above for notifications. Guest dalyer Posted April 17, 2016 Report Posted April 17, 2016 (edited) Anybody still using MIUI? Any opinion on what's the best/most stable version and specific ROM at this stage? Any significant issues that need attention/patching? I'm asking in preparation for reinstalling my F1 before passing it on to my gf once I get my Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro. Thanks a lot, Edited April 17, 2016 by dalyer
Guest johnickz Posted April 17, 2016 Report Posted April 17, 2016 (edited) I am using MIUI 7 for over five months, everything working fine and I mean everything, battery is fantastic, camera is the best, GPS working as meant to work, auto brightness adjustment build in, seven color notification, smooth and fast, the phone is working bugless and flawless. I ll post tomorrow the link for a specific version of needrom to download and the link for patch for the sound. Then you ll have to apply the script for notifications that I posted in previous posts and you ll forget about any other ROM for this phone.. Edited April 17, 2016 by johnickz
Guest dalyer Posted April 18, 2016 Report Posted April 18, 2016 Thanks a lot - if you can post info about or a link to the specific MIUI 7 that you're using that'd be great. I was aware of the notification and sound issues but wasn't clear if they applied to all ROMs and if the patches were compatible with all ROMs. If you can post details of those too that'd be great - much appreciated.
Guest mickiewicz Posted April 18, 2016 Report Posted April 18, 2016 i would like to try this rom too. miui roms from needrom seems to be buggy.
Guest Pivko76 Posted April 18, 2016 Report Posted April 18, 2016 mickiewicz, który wg Ciebie jest z błędami?
