Guest whispers
Just wondered what everyone else is seeing as main sources of battery drain.Mine seems to be uniformly showing Screen as top culprit, even when the phone has been almost exclusively off, and I'm wondering if it has something to do with the tap-to-wake thing (even though I have that switched off in settings). Previous phones always seem to have listed Phone Radio as top battery drain in similar usage scenarios, so that's what I expect to see.Battery also seems to drop pretty quickly in active use, which may just be a (disappointing) result of the giant screen - although it looks from CPU-Z as though the CPU is not ramped down very aggressively either. Guest LiNe171
Viper4Android.. When i had root. Now i'm unrooted and no issues. My battery lasts about 2 or 3 days and with many hours of screen. 6, 7 or 8 hours of screen, with facebook, games, sms..I found one thing yesterday.. On advanced definitions of wi-fi there's an option "Search for networks always available" even with wi-fi offline, wi-fi is working.. Disable that option. It consumes battery, i noticed that yesterday, wi-fi consumed 4% of my battery with 1d 13h 50m.
Guest Lee-e
Interesting topic. Biggest drain for me is chrome, then Google App, then Google Services. Is this normal?
Guest ohyesman
Different for everyone as no two people use their phone the same way or have same number/type of apps installed. Me for example phones been on 17hrs, used 60% battery, screen time of 3.25 hrs and top 3 useage is screen/Google services/type mail (then Facebook)
Guest Frankish
My usage varies wildly. I got about 8 hours screen on once or twice. Most the time it's closer to 4-5 hours screen on.

Guest LiNe171
Yeah, i thought the same. Im sure he charged the phone, you can't have 10 hrs screen with 53% left. That's why his information isn't equal to 100%
Guest andysee
47% battery use and 10 hrs screen time!!! That is not right...You either been charging phone inbetween topping it up or something else!!.yes, I've been charging the phone, but 'in between' what ?I just quoted what my phone says, what am i meant to do to get 'proper' stats ?is the clue .. 'use since last full charge', so I didn't let it charge fully, so it gets confused? Edited August 28, 2015 by andysee
Guest ohyesman
yes, I've been charging the phone, but 'in between' what ?I just quoted what my phone says, what am i meant to do to get 'proper' stats ?In between fully charging and battery dying. Proper stats u charge to 100% and use phone until it dies (or 10/15% if u want to charge back up)Thats why ur stats don't add up and are not comparable
Guest andysee
Ok, just like fuel stats on my vehicle, needs full tank to full tank.I did have to take my phone off charge when i went out today, maybe I shouldn't have gone shopping.I must try harder. Guest ohyesman
Lol its all good mate, you use your phone how u want, its ur phone after all. Just saying that's why it's not adding up and that ur stats are not comparable for the context of the thread and comparing battery life with others. Guest Umrtvovacz
I am getting between 2 and 3 days per charge depending on screen on time. I run with Wifi, 4G, Bluetooth on all the time, and wireless headphones connected about 9-10 hours per day, playing podcasts abouts 6 hours per day. About 3 hours screen time (1 hour per day).My best charge time was 3 and a half days, over the weekend, with 2 and half hours screen time.On the other hand, the phone can take about 8-10 hours of screen time, depending on what connections you run and on the apps themselves. I fully discharged the phone from 100% in 5 and half hours of playing Bard's Tale with bluetooth on (PS3 controller), headphones and Wifi.Overall I am very satisfied with the battery.
