Lockscreen is the first thing that appears when you wake up your device with power key. You need to swipe up from lockscreen to get to that pattern unlock screen (if you've selected pattern unlock). That's the reason why the pattern unlock screen appears directly after wake up. Hm... its a pity that the clock is not shown on the pattern unlock screen. And yes, you can build CM13 (or just the kernel) thanks to the sources I've released.
