need help to recover data on a kyocera with a black screen

i need help trying to transfer data and lost data on  a Kyocera that has a black/cracked screen. the phone will turn on and you can see just the message icon but nothing else so I can't go to setting and debug it so I would like help trying to transfer all calls/messaging without debugging it first. ive tried the dr phone but that's only for Samsung users. any help would be appreciated.
