Guest Malkie Posted May 16, 2004 Report Posted May 16, 2004 T9 is nice and while it could be better I have decided to bypass it all together. I have the Samsung i600 and have ordered the optional vinyl roll-up keybord to use for e-mail, Notes, SMS, and hopefully,.. Games (games like Dragon Bane II can wreak havoc on the directionals of a phone). The board should be here Monday, I'll let you know if it's worth it. Also you should know that if you have an i600 and have wanted the optional keyboard and thought the $70 pricetag was a little steep, Verizon now has it available for 20% off + tax (no S&H charges) -MalKiE

Guest biffsmash Posted May 19, 2004 Report Posted May 19, 2004 My old E100 and the E200 I had to get rid of, both forgot all the words I entered into the T9 after a certain amount of time, They didnt need to crash, be turned off, or hard reset, to lose the T9. I guess I'm a sad git and so i'm not constantly texting all day entering the same words into the texts on a regular basis. Sometimes I used to not send someone a text for a few hours, and when that happened, the T9 forgot the words I had entered  I guess people who are texting regularly are somehow refreshing the T9 when they send each message, kind of like how when you open a draft message with all your words in, it refreshes the T9 for you. Just a guess but might explain why mine lost words more than others reported. Anyway its certainly not related to when you turn off your phone, because like I said, mine would forget all the words, even when the phone had been on and working, just a few hours after entering the words. I could turn off the phone and turn it back on and it would remember the words. This happened on every E100 and E200 I had, and I had a few (thanks to orange care lol) T9 that remembers words has to be the most important type of T9 lol :)
