Guest MoRFLeZ Posted April 18, 2003 Report Posted April 18, 2003 Uuhhh I missed some important information. Will the app work via GPRS!?
Guest MBoden Posted April 18, 2003 Report Posted April 18, 2003 ROFL, MoRFLez are you a blonde ? that the whole point ;-) MBoden
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted April 18, 2003 Report Posted April 18, 2003 Hehehe. MoRFleZ, try a search for the original £RetroSPV" thread, and you'll soon see where all this originated from ;)
Guest MoRFLeZ Posted April 18, 2003 Report Posted April 18, 2003 *SNORT* .. that's what I said!! I missed an important piece of information!!! I read somewhere that the pages would be about 1k to load, so I figured it wouldn't be a big deal! However my friend claimed it wouldn't run off it, so I just wanted to make sure *geeeeze*
Guest ajb3000 Posted April 18, 2003 Report Posted April 18, 2003 The app uses approx 1k per SMS sent, thats both sent and recieved data combined, and includes connecting to GPRS.

Guest TSCRYPTO Posted April 19, 2003 Report Posted April 19, 2003 I had a pm from Adam earlier indicating that a few bugs were yet to be ironed out - however, he did say that all things going well, it may be ready for d/l sometime later today. Fingers crossed, eh... ;)
Guest ubergeek Posted April 19, 2003 Report Posted April 19, 2003 I'm back from the dead (erm, not really, just a bad case of the flu and swamped with other projects) - it's been fun toying with you and keeping you waiting ;) I think the easter bunny might be bringing a little surprise later on...
Guest EMGenius Posted April 19, 2003 Report Posted April 19, 2003 mmm... i think i have heared that somewhere before...;)
Guest TSCRYPTO Posted April 19, 2003 Report Posted April 19, 2003 Does the app come with an easter egg icon? ;)
Guest tbrose Posted April 19, 2003 Report Posted April 19, 2003 This is beginning to look more like the situation with the updates coming from Orange, huh? ;) Well, can't wait for the program to arrive. Maybe a stupid question, but being in Denmark and all, we will still be able to use it right?! - I sure hope so!
Guest ajb3000 Posted April 19, 2003 Report Posted April 19, 2003 ok guys, heres the app. a few things to bear in mind. firstly not all the features are there, flashing and delayed sms options have been removed as these are still not working with the api, and the character limit has been set to 300, as anything over this causes a database error. also, this is not so much a bug, but a problem with the way the app accesses the phonebook (you may remember there is no 'proper' way of accessing the phonebook), but you cannot filter or search the phonebook, you have to scroll to the name you want to select, then press menu and planus sms. also bear in mind you will need a decertified spv to run this app enjoy EDIT: forgot to mention, press the action button in the To field to access the phonebook.Planus SMS App.zip
Guest TSCRYPTO Posted April 19, 2003 Report Posted April 19, 2003 Adam / Ben... Whats the difference betweeen SenderID and Login data (UserID and password) and do these values need to be entered each time an sms is ent? M
Guest ajb3000 Posted April 19, 2003 Report Posted April 19, 2003 login data is your username and password to login to your account, sender id is your phone number (i.e. the number its sent from), and all those values are remembered so you only need to enter them once
Guest amo Posted April 19, 2003 Report Posted April 19, 2003 Just downloaded it, easy to use but when i tried sending it it took ages to connect and ended up saying "could not establish GPRS connection error code - 2147467259" and another quick bug, when it says "connecting" it cuts of the bottom of the "g"
Guest TSCRYPTO Posted April 19, 2003 Report Posted April 19, 2003 Yeah, I'm getting an error each time too: "Can't connect to server".EDIT: EDIT: And also: 'unrecognised response from server'.
Guest amo Posted April 19, 2003 Report Posted April 19, 2003 haha, was that sponsored by orange? do we have to puroposly have to wait 3 months now for an update! jus kiddin guys. seems a wicked app but i keep gettin that error code, any ideas? my gprs works for all other apps
Guest ajb3000 Posted April 19, 2003 Report Posted April 19, 2003 eerrmm... it works fine for me  amo: according to Microsoft its an 'Unspecified Error' TSCRYTPO: are you sure your username and password are correct?
