Guest travisb Posted September 6, 2004 Report Posted September 6, 2004 Just downloaded and installed trial version 3.1 on my C500. Only thing that doesn't seem to work is the notification icon. I have tried all icon settings but none seem to work. The traffic counters work so I have the correct connection settings selected. Do I have to buy the software first?
Guest chucky.egg Posted September 6, 2004 Report Posted September 6, 2004 Don't think so, the Notification icon is working fine on my C500 (I'm sure it was before I registered too). The "fuel gauge" icon is really useful, it's worth getting it working. Mine's installed to the phone, not the mSD card
Guest travisb Posted September 6, 2004 Report Posted September 6, 2004 Ah, mines on the card. I'll un-install and try again on the phone
Guest fozzie Posted September 6, 2004 Report Posted September 6, 2004 Mine's on the card and works fine. Can't remember whether I had to hack the Registry though for the installed directory. I've got a funny feeling it puts it as /IPSM/ etc etc regardless of where you choose to install it. The location needs to be edited to /Storage Card/Program Files/ etc etc.
Guest travisb Posted September 7, 2004 Report Posted September 7, 2004 The problem was solved in the time honoured fashion. Windows needed a re-boot. Now working perfectly. Definitely worth the money IMHO
Guest travisb Posted November 8, 2004 Report Posted November 8, 2004 My notification icon is set to Inclusive data left, in the subscription settings I've set up my inclusive data (3,072.00). What I've noticed is after the first monthly cycle with everything working ok (billing date is set), I then see the traffic received and sent, but the inclusive data resets to N/A. This means the icon always shows as having 3mb left. Why does this happen? How do I fix it?
Guest chucky.egg Posted November 8, 2004 Report Posted November 8, 2004 Check that you have selected a connection to monitor - if you're on Orange this will probably be called "Orange GPRS" Failing that you can check your settings against mine: Monthly fee: 0 Inclusive data: 10,240.00 (yours will still be 3,072 but you can try changing the figure to test) Billing per byte: 1 Data tarrif: 0 Start Tarrif: 0 Start length: 0 Costs connected dat: 0 Invoice period start day: 1
Guest travisb Posted November 8, 2004 Report Posted November 8, 2004 Chucky.egg Am monitoring Orange GPRS All other settings as per yours (billing date is 11 for me). Any other ideas?
Guest chucky.egg Posted November 8, 2004 Report Posted November 8, 2004 The only other thing I can think of might be that you've selected a different view... but I don't think that would affect the notification icon. Try going into Traffic Monitor, "4 Traffic", Menu, "3 Month", should default to current month. Set the month you want to view traffic for as the CURRENT month (i.e. November) and press Done Does that make any difference? You could also check that your graphs are showing actual use, if they are then try changing the notification icon, exiting and then changing it back. If the graphs are not showing any use then you might have to reinstall.

With current month as November I get no traffic as sent or received with my full inclusive data left, hence the full icon I guess. I still think that it's my invoice start date that is causing the problem. With it set to 11, it assumes that November hasn't actually started yet, hence the figures. If I set the month to October, the data sent and received is way too low for my usage - email, internet, CoPilot Live and World Tracker via MoDaCo GA. :?
Guest NIGHTMARE Posted November 8, 2004 Report Posted November 8, 2004 i downloaded this yesterday and installed it, i had no probelems with the icon in at the top as others have, however i set it to active and launched agile messanger, after 10min i went back into the counter and it said 0k for both sent and recived! needless to say i was not happy and uninstalled it straight away, i am however intrested in the program and want to use it, if anyone knws a cure to my problem then please send me a private message, thank you
Guest travisb Posted November 15, 2004 Report Posted November 15, 2004 I've changed my connection to Orange.net (GPRS) and everything is working fine now! Will see if it rolls over properly on 11/12
Guest 6thElement Posted December 15, 2004 Report Posted December 15, 2004 I installed it on my C500 this morning and had two reboots. Uninstalled it for the time being but I really want a working GPRS monitor :/
Guest mark4130 Posted December 15, 2004 Report Posted December 15, 2004 I have downloaded the App, every time I try to install it I get a message saying "Failed to download setup information. Do you want to retry downloading setup information?". I click yes, and then just keep going in a loop with this issue... anyone have any ideas? Mark

What error messages are you getting?
Guest 6thElement Posted December 16, 2004 Report Posted December 16, 2004 Ignore me in this instance, it's working fine. It was another GPRS monitor linked from the Microsoft website that caused the issue. All-Locations GPRS Counter is working fine and I'm happy with it, just a shame Orange/HTC didn't see fit to include a GPRS counter by default :)
