I've just seen something.

Try a proxy name:port of 10.168.200.50, but I don't think it will work - just worth trying. Looks like it might be for the dialup WAP.

If it fails go back to proxy 216.155.165.50 and put a username wap in T-zone WAP GPRS connection. see hear http://mork.home.mindspring.com/myvoicestreamhelp.htm

I'm not sure if things change by region.

no luck....and I just got off of the phone with T-Mobile who were absolutely no help at all. The only thing he saw that was questionable was my proxy settings where the TYPE is set to WAP. He asked if there was anyway to take that out of there (he never used an SPV before). The only other options are http (which i tried) and various socks connections. I'm working thru combinations of some stuff now.

Thanks Again.

Nick

If the WAP APN is correct and the IP address (in proxy) is correct, then it should work. Issues might be usernames or DNS servers which could vary. I take it ' 216.155.165.50 in proxy and username wap in T-zone WAP' didn't work either.

It might still be worth extracting the settings from another phone where WAP sites are successfull (it will probably be the dialup info). This will at least will DEFINATELY confirm the above is correct. IT SHOULD WORK

I have GPRS WAP working on my phone but I also can't connect to http://wap.myvoicestream.com/. I get connecting for about 2 minutes and then an error 'the page you are looking for is not found'. Maybe they've taken it down ?

And as for orange.multimedia, maybe they don't want you connecting to another networks WAP homepage ?

There's hope yet.

Instead of your homepage, try and connect to http://www.google.com/wml using your original T-zone settings. This site is working OK. You could have just been unlucky and picked a bad day for setting up WAP.

That worked....I can't thank you enough.

I really didn't want to have to use dial-up for WAP sites.

I'll call T-Mobile again and ask their T-Zones address.

I'll also revise the settings above for everyone else. I'm leaving it just how I have it....(Added wap as the user name in a couple of spots...probably doesn't matter.)

Thanks Martin

I just received my xPhone and am having troubles viewing the MMS messages. They show up in my inbox under MMS, and the download and menu options are available as choices.

When I choose a message, the menu items are:

new

download

edit - greyed out

delete

delete all

reply - greyed out

reply all - greyed out

forward - greyed out

information

view objects - greyed out

I would expect there would be an Open option but I have yet to find it. Any assistance is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Ken
