Guest vijay555 Posted May 9, 2003 Report Posted May 9, 2003 like i said spacemonkey, the home screen can be called as a program, home.exe in windows directory. don't know whether this is neat, and i guess there is probably an api call or something (i haven't coded on the SPV yet). But tah beaucoup V
Guest spacemonkey Posted May 12, 2003 Report Posted May 12, 2003 OK, I've finally updated quickclose (in the attachment at the start of the thread), no progress on any of the other ideas yet... Basically, it now does everything requested... it doesn't need a user prompt, displays a screen for 3 seconds and returns to the homescreen. It also has an exciting icon. In the end I couldn't find an API call to get back to the homescreen so I used the suggested method of calling home.exe. This means the program has an assumption in it that home.exe will exist in Windowshome.exe This is definitely right for SPV but may be different on different phones in the future... we'll just have to wait and see. Sorry about the delay, I've got Australians sleeping on my floor and it means I get distracted and drink instead of coding (I really got to get back to some of my projects....) Any feed back just yell (I'm sure you will)
Guest madu Posted May 12, 2003 Report Posted May 12, 2003 Nice1 Spacemonkey! Apparently drinking with Aussies has positive influence on your innovation and performance (when the hangover's gone..) So we expect more S-D-Tools soon! hehe :) [Observations] ...could there possibly be some memory leak after using this?? I have just ran it and the amount of free memory is usually 6-7MB with no extras loaded (Tray, Programs and the common processes) - that's after I quit them using TaskMan. After running the app I got 4-5MB free mem. On the other note, I rebooted the phone, started Inbox. I had 67xxKB free at start and similar after running Inbox. After running QuickClose - it gave me 7372KB.. WHooHoo!
Guest fozzie Posted May 12, 2003 Report Posted May 12, 2003 Any chance of posting it as a cab file. Am viewing this on SPV and can't get it :) Cheers.
Guest spacemonkey Posted May 12, 2003 Report Posted May 12, 2003 Anyone else want to convert it to a cab... lame as it may sound I've never bothered to sit down and figure out how cabs work :) The guy who does www.spvdd.co.uk has packaged everything as cabs downloadable from spv...
Guest mikospopos Posted July 6, 2003 Report Posted July 6, 2003 Quickclose works a treat!! Love it - still need a splash screen? Mik
Guest vijay555 Posted July 6, 2003 Report Posted July 6, 2003 one was added in the latest version right? sure you've got the right version mikospopos? Personally i preferred it before w/o splash delay... I still use the original version :) V
Guest Will Hay Posted July 26, 2004 Report Posted July 26, 2004 A quick thanks from a new member to the author for this great program :P I see a couple of folks are asking for a program to switch between line one and line two.... ....am I misisng something or does this mean some of you guys have two sim cards in your E200's and want a method to switch? Thanks, Will
Guest looeee Posted July 26, 2004 Report Posted July 26, 2004 Will Orange sell a package where you can get a second contract on the same phone. I have had one for years (although I cannot recommend it) On all newer OSs you hold down the # key to switch lines looeee
Guest Will Hay Posted July 26, 2004 Report Posted July 26, 2004 Ah-ha, so I couldn't add my T-Mobile PAYG sim then? :P Thanks, Will
Guest I. C. Monsters Posted August 16, 2004 Report Posted August 16, 2004 I'd really appreciate a speed dial device lock. I know it'll only save one keypress, but it would make my phone that little bit better.
