Guest fixit Posted May 9, 2003 Report Posted May 9, 2003 OK - to answer specific points raised by you guys: Protozoa - bloomin' right, had several issues making/receiving calls. V frustrating. RobP - have high powered PC with all the bells and whistles and you're right, we all randomly get bored of them and eventually return. 'Serious Sam 2' is my most recent discovery. Spacemonkey - yeah, it seems to be a prerequisite these days that you have a mobile - so why not have an entertaining one? Gameboy on. Mono - For what it does, 100 notes well spent, agreed. HonestJ - I had a replacement SPV which came with another camera which I keep in the car simply by virtue of the fact the most places I go the car comes with me. I wouldn't deliberately 1keep a camera in the car in case of an accident because surely that would be asking to have one - Murphy's law and all that! Jacoch - I will get around to paying for your file manager. I've been using it for nowt for ages! Vijay - I use mine for all that. You're on the right lines. I particularly agree with your sentiments about owning high powered PC's and never utilising them fully - I do that too. Thurstan - spot on. P.S. top tip - Chester is arse. Never go back there. Avril L is horn but talentless. Stop listening to her. I've always hated gladiator since my GF said that RC is the sexiest man that ever lived.... Midnight - for various reasons I can't get regedit to run! And messing with the registry is of limited appeal to me, I spend too much time at work hacking PC registries. SouthFart was fun, but it got me too many odd looks. Thanks for your many useful tweaks tho mate, the recent speed dial 'kill non system apps' app was just what I was after. Reckon that's about covered the responses, the message I'm getting is that several of you (paid techies like myself, or developers) have stopped being as interested and excited by this device as you were. Where next? Given that the majority of us that are now used to the Smartphone platform will probably continue suppoerting it, roll on the new higher spec handsets! When the new handsets suport that SNES emulator with MarioKart, I'll be happy. Night all.
Guest madu Posted May 9, 2003 Report Posted May 9, 2003 Fixit, speed dial QuickClose.exe was made by spacemonkey... Right?>
Guest fixit Posted May 9, 2003 Report Posted May 9, 2003 Was it? Blimey. There's so many people on here churning out good tools you get confused.
