Guest NederSoren Posted May 14, 2003 Report Posted May 14, 2003 lol... not enough space for all the letters... hihihi :) :(
Guest midnight Posted May 14, 2003 Report Posted May 14, 2003 serves me right for getting a score over 100,000 :)
Guest terminater2_uk Posted May 14, 2003 Report Posted May 14, 2003 Doh, not a word ppl :) Blank help screen though so I don't really know what I'm supposed to do!
Guest midnight Posted May 14, 2003 Report Posted May 14, 2003 if you browse to the dir where you installed it with smartexplorer (Storage CardProgram FilesCrazyBubbles SPV inside there is cp_help.html, click on that to run it in PIE, the instructions are there.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted May 14, 2003 Report Posted May 14, 2003 Ive been playing it every spare moment I have but can you actually lose? I presume a timer will be added to the final version? but over all a nice looking game that plays well.
Guest Gorskar Posted May 14, 2003 Report Posted May 14, 2003 Theres no challenge if you can't lose I assume you're right, some sort of timer would mean youd have to work fast to make big areas of one colour. And if you cant do it quick enough game over, much more fun than without a timer!
Guest midnight Posted May 14, 2003 Report Posted May 14, 2003 of course you can lose, as soon as you have no moves (ie., three or more peices that can join together)
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted May 14, 2003 Report Posted May 14, 2003 I must be just lucky, I tried to do that but was unable to :? I presume you have seen that? so can you tell me what it says? I'm going to try real hard to lose now :)
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted May 14, 2003 Report Posted May 14, 2003 Also if it was made a bit more like Bounce out ie you have a timer but if you end up without any more moves x ammount of bubbles dissappear and get renewed.
Guest midnight Posted May 14, 2003 Report Posted May 14, 2003 no, they are making the game correctly i mean, you say you havent lost, but whats your score? what level are you up to?
Guest midnight Posted May 14, 2003 Report Posted May 14, 2003 errr, level 13 isnt far, i was on level 27 before i reset my phone and lost the position aaaaargh, so beware, even tho exiting the game saves your position, rebooting the phone does not ;P look at the screenshot previous page for the score :) beat that if you can hehe
Guest Gorskar Posted May 14, 2003 Report Posted May 14, 2003 Damn, and after I said that I just went and lost! I'm now trying extreme, and from what I can tell extreme is a whole lot better - much more of a challenge
Guest midnight Posted May 15, 2003 Report Posted May 15, 2003 err, thats where i was on level 27 hehe, i find extreme easier actually, more of a challenge cos you have to think more, but ultimately easier
Guest Gorskar Posted May 15, 2003 Report Posted May 15, 2003  ah erm... I'll just go and practise some more...
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted May 15, 2003 Report Posted May 15, 2003 errr, level 13 isnt far, i was on level 27 That's my point about having at least a time trial option then or have three lives :? not knocking your gaming ability, but how long did it take you to get to level 27 and how many attempts? I would prefer to (for example) only get to say level 5 for the first few goes, then there is the challenge to get higher next time. It would be better to have a quick game than a long drawn out .one As for what level I was at I'm not sure as I reset the phone  definately need a save option :) PS I'm now concentraiting on the extreme version at the moment EDIT I've now lost in Classic :(
Guest terminater2_uk Posted May 15, 2003 Report Posted May 15, 2003 Tis very addictive, I love it. But I won't post my score just yet.*runs off to practice*
Guest midnight Posted May 15, 2003 Report Posted May 15, 2003 i got to level 27 cos of a bug in the game, which i've reported, thats how i got the score over 100,000 (in the screenshot, you'll notice my score goes behind the game progress bar, a normal game and my score is around 30,000 level 20-ish, but, i do play a lot of games, i always have as a kid, and as you can see, some people are only getting around level 5 or less, which is good, it drives them on to try harder. Not meaning to brag at my gaming ability hehe, but, if i could only get to level 5, then surely none-gamers would struggle on level 1, thus, a quick -throw-away game for them due to frustration. :) dont forget though, this game is based on the pocketpc version, and is practically finished, what you are suggesting is to change the game and add a new mode, I dont think its fair to ask that at this stage. Also, thats why the game stays available (unless you reboot) so you can go in and out easily, spending as much time as you like each play.

I'll have to looktry harder harder PS like I said I mentioned level five as an examle only

Guest terminater2_uk Posted May 15, 2003 Report Posted May 15, 2003 It loses high scores on switch-off :)
Guest midnight Posted May 15, 2003 Report Posted May 15, 2003 yup, already reported that, and they fixed the bug that allows extremely high scores :)
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted May 16, 2003 Report Posted May 16, 2003 Just had an email saying they may add timer to the v.2 of both Pocket PC and Smartphone game! :)
