Your English is good enough to understand, which means you don't have to apologise. I bet I can't speak your language! More to the point I love the tweak, why not enter it in the prize for innovation forum? It is new enough, even if it follows the same idea as the voicerec tweak. In my opinion anyway.

Thanks for the tweak, I've never really used that button before, for the shortcut I mean.

MoRFLeZ,

A quickie for you (pardon the pun :D ).

Do you have a MPx or E200? If MPx can you adapt this so it brings up the voice dial software (which is a bugger to activate) with a click rather than holding it down for eternity hoping that the voice dial will come up?

If you have an MPx, thanks in advance!

If not you should get one! :)

Ok then!

Now we all have ROM update 1.6 (whatever use THAT was), what's the name of the EXE that is referred to by Task_Manager.lnk in Windows ?

Cos I can't find it.

[edit]

Ignore that - Me = div

It's WindowsIA_Task_Manager.exe for the rest of you

[/edit]

And *bump* this thread cos I've been lookin' for the fricker all week and couldn't find it, and the search doofer didn't work.

Excellent! I use Echo for all my recording and now that XBar is using the action button the big red record was rather useless (again). With this I can use it to start Echo! Thank you! :-D

Since my i600 will disconnect any connections made when I close the phone. I wonder if anyone's figured out a way to assign the voice recorder button to Active Sync and have it start the sync with the phone closed. I don't want to set up a regularly scheduled sync because once the phone goes to "Data" mode it is no longer capable of accepting incoming calls due to the Verizon 1X network problems. I'd like to just push the voice record button to start the sync and put the phone back in the holster and check in a few minutes later. It's a real pain right now to start the sync and leave the phone open while it works.

Hi all!

My first post, I've only been around here for a short while and I'm still in the reading stages.

Recently I was very disappointed about not being able to assign Voice tags to my contacts, but then I found, VitoVoiceDialer for Smartphone and Fox?(something) anyway... these apps helped a lot, but I had one problem. I need to launch the application, but in the U.K. it is against the law to touch your phone more than once when driving.

So I abandoned the idea of using the software and have been looking for a replacement for my E200, until now! (there isn't one).

Can anyone out there let me know if I can use this tweak to launch VitoVoice dialer using the Note button?

I'd like to use my Jabra BT200 with this tweak (Still on order).

Has anyone done this to enable voice tags - how good was it? Did it work with the Jabra BT200?

A newbie ask for the PRO's help.

Cheers! :)

I use the long press of the notes camera button to launch voice dialing and it works really well. I agree that theres no point in having voice dialing if it isn't easy to get to. Unfortunately you won't be able to use voice dialing through you BT headset as the E200 doesn't support the headset profile properly. Not sure if this is gonna be fixed in the update due out at the *end of the month*.

I'm gonna try mapping it to Voice Command by Voice Signal. I should be able to activate it and issue voice commands to dial the phone from a headset so I can keep my eyes on the road.

I have been trying to mess with this button for a while but can't seems to figure out how to do what I want.

We all know that we hit the rec button once and it launches the voice app. Hitting it a second time starts recording. Now I was trying to figure out how to do that to the camera app :) Hitting it once open the camera app, and a 2nd time to snap a picture.

Anyone with any ideas how it can be done? Its kinda irritating taking so long just to start the camera app. Btw, its Mitac 8380. No camera button. Don't know about other fones. I think they do have a camera button.
