Guest Syvwlch Posted March 16, 2003 Report Posted March 16, 2003 I would like to ask you about your reminder concerning the de-cert of the phone What that means I meant that IF you want to run uncertified software on the phone, it needs to be decertified. To be decertified, it will need to be hard reset. When it is hard reset, the settings will be erased. Therefore, if you are planning to do this, I suggest you don't spend too much time changing the original settings. Of course, this you can ignore if you're not changing the settings much, and if you're not planning to decert the phone. And how I will do the de-cert and the hard reset This is what those links in my previous post wll tell you. It's long and complicated and those links explain it very well. I cannot make settings without doing the de-cert ?Don't worry, you can change settings without decerting the phone :) I suggest you enjoy your phone as it is for the moment... play with MP3s, surf the web, do email, try some of the official games from Orange... when you're more familiar, you can think about decerting the phone? thanks again a lot for all you have done for me you're welcome, man! A pleasure, I assure you ;)
