Guest awarner [MVP] Posted March 16, 2003 Report Posted March 16, 2003 ONE word ClintEastman WOW  very nice. But what surprised me was the download speed, I have ntl 600k but I downloaded that in 1 sec  now that was some connection
Guest ClintEastman Posted March 16, 2003 Report Posted March 16, 2003 Glad i can be of some use. By the way have i posted this stuff in the right place, or would software be better, as it's related to software?
Guest Vector Posted March 16, 2003 Report Posted March 16, 2003 When are you gonna release the new settings Clinteastman :?:
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted March 16, 2003 Report Posted March 16, 2003 Glad i can be of some use. By the way have i posted this stuff in the right place, or would software be better, as it's related to software? To be honest I'm not sure :? These files almost need a section of their own, but that would be for Paul to decide. In the early days we did have a download section it did not last long :)
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted March 17, 2003 Report Posted March 17, 2003 I've got some ideas of my own that'll suggest to Paul when he gets back. Anyone else have any good ideas then let me know and i'll pass them :) And i think OT is perfectly ok for these files...
Guest HelloDave Posted March 17, 2003 Report Posted March 17, 2003 And i think OT is perfectly ok for these files... There you go - Mono has spoken
Guest ^JP^ Posted March 17, 2003 Report Posted March 17, 2003 When you are happy with the new settings could you please post a VDub settings file again like in the other thread?
Guest ClintEastman Posted March 17, 2003 Report Posted March 17, 2003 The other thread is locked. I will start a new one in Off Topic.
Guest spiderboy Posted March 17, 2003 Report Posted March 17, 2003 how do you run the trailers on your phone as I cant seem to get it to play in the widescreen format?
Guest ClintEastman Posted March 17, 2003 Report Posted March 17, 2003 What happens when you try to play them?
Guest Billy Marrafyass Posted March 17, 2003 Report Posted March 17, 2003 Er, I keep dipping into old topics... I have d/loaded Pocket MVP but can't get it ti work. All I get is a blank screen with "Select File" stuck on the screen I have both the Matrix2 trailer and Pocket MVP on my phone - do I need to put both onthe storage card? Please help!
Guest ClintEastman Posted March 17, 2003 Report Posted March 17, 2003 Will be writing an article on the subject, stay tuned!
Guest Billy Marrafyass Posted March 17, 2003 Report Posted March 17, 2003 Good man! I'm sure (as usual) I'm missing something very obvious...
Guest Anonymous Posted March 18, 2003 Report Posted March 18, 2003 Not sure if this is what you mean, but, you need to put the .avi files into the divx folder that contains the pocketMVP executable. After this when you go to the select file screen what ever you have put in the folder should be displayed on the screen. Just scroll on to it and press action button and away you go. :)
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted March 18, 2003 Report Posted March 18, 2003 Strange? as all mine are in my movies folder? Storage CardMovies
Guest ClintEastman Posted March 18, 2003 Report Posted March 18, 2003 Strange? as all mine are in my movies folder? Storage CardMovies Yeh, they don't need to be in a spicific place, it scans (the card) for content.
Guest v1nn1e Posted March 18, 2003 Report Posted March 18, 2003 Error initialising audio stream decompression: The requested conversion is not possible. Check to make sure you have the required codec (Microsoft Audio codec). Above is the error i got when trying to make a divx. It works when i choose no audio, but when i want audio it always gives this error message. I am choosing Mpeg Layer-3 compression, 18 Kbit 11,025 Hz 8KB/s. Any compressor i choose, i get this error. Can somebody advise?
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted March 18, 2003 Report Posted March 18, 2003 What divx codec are you using? I found I had problems with 5.03 also this problem occured when conerting avi files.
Guest v1nn1e Posted March 19, 2003 Report Posted March 19, 2003 I am using 5.03! Is that the problem?
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted March 19, 2003 Report Posted March 19, 2003 Probably, unfortunately PMVP isn't compatible with Divx 5.03, you'll need to downgrade to 5.02 and it should be fine.
Guest v1nn1e Posted March 19, 2003 Report Posted March 19, 2003 Hi. I tried 5.02, same error! The error message says something about Windows Audio Codec. Do i need that codec? tried looking for it but no luck.
Guest westy1507 Posted March 19, 2003 Report Posted March 19, 2003 Just a quick one. Downloaded virtualdub, but when i click on 'compression', DIVx is not in the list?? Is it because i've downloaded version 5.03? Dying to get into this as i have some spare time on my hands, but need an answer sharpish! Anyone have the Divx 5.02 they can send me? Cheers Westy
Guest v1nn1e Posted March 19, 2003 Report Posted March 19, 2003 Even if you have 5.03, it should still be selectable. Get 5.02 from http://www.divxtoday.com/codecs.html
Guest westy1507 Posted March 19, 2003 Report Posted March 19, 2003 Cheers  Just out of curiosity, why didn't it appear in the first place? Quite puzzled by that i must admit Westy
Guest westy1507 Posted March 19, 2003 Report Posted March 19, 2003 Right, i'm going out of my head now! For today only, Divx has decided to not be selectable from the Virtualdub menu!!! :x It's got loads of others, but not the one i flamin want??! Why is this, and can anybody help me...please? Westy
