I edited it and copied it to IPSMApplication-DataHome without problems, but the changes I made don't show! ... Does the cache have to be flushed or is the "real" file located somewhere else? All Im changing is the colors:reloadpreview.gifReload_Purple_v131.zip

Guest dinoalbert Posted July 13, 2003 Report Posted July 13, 2003 Hi. I like the Reload Skin! I know "R" stands for "Reload" but this would even be nice for users with "R" as their name initial :) is there a chance someone could modify this skin with "D" instead of "R"? ;) cheers
Guest nixy1968 Posted July 14, 2003 Report Posted July 14, 2003 why isnt the edit profile link working. Have tried twice to submit changes but link goes to the noreply iescreen. Am gutted as am wanting to start using forum.,

Guest The PocketTV Team Posted December 18, 2003 Report Posted December 18, 2003 Hi midnight, We're trying to figure out why your Midnight's MoDaCo Themes can't install on patched i600 (see the second page of http://smartphone.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?t=96494 ) What registry keys are you trying to set when installing this theme ?
Guest midnight Posted December 18, 2003 Report Posted December 18, 2003 the usual extra screen stuff (this is MoDaCo 2) ...... HKLM,SoftwareMicrosoftSplash Screen, CarrierBitmap,, IPSMextrasstartup2.gif HKLM,SoftwareMicrosoftSplash Screen, CarrierShutdownBitmap,, IPSMextrasshutdown2.gif HKLM,SoftwareMicrosoftSplash Screen, CarrierShutdownTimeout,0x00010001, 2000 HKLM,SoftwareMicrosoftSplash Screen, MSBitmap,, IPSMextrasstartup1.gif HKLM,SoftwareMicrosoftSplash Screen, MSShutdownBitmap,, IPSMextrasshutdown1.gif HKLM,SoftwareMicrosoftSplash Screen, MSShutdownTimeout,0x00010001, 15000 HKLM,SoftwareMicrosoftWindows Media Player 8Parameters,SkinDir,,"IPSMextras" HKLM,SoftwareMicrosoftWindows Media Player 8Parameters,SkinFile,,wmplayer.skn HKLM,SoftwareMicrosoftShellRai:Callalert, BKBitmapFile,,IPSMextrasexclam.gif HKLM,SoftwareMicrosoftShellRai:ErrorBox, BKBitmapFile,, IPSMextrasyell.gif HKLM,SoftwareMicrosoftShellRai:ExclamationBox, BKBitmapFile,, IPSMextrasexclam.gif HKLM,SoftwareMicrosoftShellRai:InformationBox, BKBitmapFile,, IPSMextrasyell.gif HKLM,SoftwareMicrosoftShellRai:QuestionBox, BKBitmapFile,, IPSMextrasQuestion.gif HKLM,SoftwareMicrosoftShellRai:VolDlg, BKBitmapFile,, IPSMextrasvolume.gif HKLM,SoftwareMicrosoftShellRai:MSCprog, BannerImage,, IPSMextrasincall.gif HKLM,SoftwareMicrosoftShellRai:MSCprog, BKBitmapFile,, IPSMextrasincallback.gif HKLM,SoftwareMicrosoftShellRai:MSCdial, BannerImage,, IPSMextrasdial.gif HKLM,SoftwareMicrosoftShellRai:MSCdial, BKBitmapFile,, IPSMextrasdialback.gif HKLM,SoftwareMicrosoftShellRai:MSStart, BannerImage,, IPSMextrasprograms_header.gif HKLM,SoftwareMicrosoftShellRai:MSStart, BKBitmapFile,,IPSMextrasprograms_back.gif HKLM,SoftwareMicrosoftShellRai:MSCONTACTS, BKBitmapFile,, IPSMextrascontacts.gif HKCU,ControlPanelHome, BgImage,, "" HKCU,ControlPanelHome, ColorScheme,, "" HKCU,ControlPanelHome, Scheme,, IPSMApplication DataHomeMoDaCo2minimal.home.xml
Guest The PocketTV Team Posted December 18, 2003 Report Posted December 18, 2003 Thanks. Apparently there is no problem with all those keys and values, the patch i600 allows creating them. I check them all manually. So I wonder why i have problems installing those themes, then... I tried installing "Original Theme" from Reloadv1.3.exe, and I get a permission error. looks like this CAB file is trying to create some key is a protected area of the Registry. Any idea.
Guest midnight Posted December 18, 2003 Report Posted December 18, 2003 this is the problem all i600 owners seem to have. they can manually enter the reg settings, but you cant do it through a cab. its as though theres two security settings, one is application based (so apps can modify the reistry), and one is cab based (but cabs cant) only other thing i can think of is that reload1.3 is old now, and at the time i didnt know how to use cabwiz at that time (was pure laziness not learning it), and so i used an app called pocketsetup. Is it just Reload1.3 (and perhaps MoDaCo 1) that have the problems? all my latest cabs i have manually created using cabwiz reload 1.3 should be exactly the same keys as the ones above, except reload1.3 doesnt skin the startup and shutdown screens, but there should be no other additional keys modified.
Guest The PocketTV Team Posted December 18, 2003 Report Posted December 18, 2003 Could you give me a link to one of your other CAB files that I should test, then ? Thanks.
Guest midnight Posted December 18, 2003 Report Posted December 18, 2003 theres quite a few in this thread if you need any of the inf files for some of the more recent homescreens let me know and i'll zip them up for you
Guest The PocketTV Team Posted December 18, 2003 Report Posted December 18, 2003 Can you point to one, specifically, that you know has been make with Cabwizsp.exe and should install on application-unlocked devices ? I just want to test with one that is known to be correct. Can you give me a URL ? Thanks.
Guest midnight Posted December 18, 2003 Report Posted December 18, 2003 erm, reload 2 (and reload2:Ice), AI2, Modaco2, DOS, Arcade Classics, all been made with cabwiz. Reload 2:Ice
Guest The PocketTV Team Posted December 18, 2003 Report Posted December 18, 2003 I tried "Arcade Classics", it did *not* install on the patched i600. Can you send me the .inf file used to make this CAB file ? (you can attach it in a PM) Thanks!
Guest The PocketTV Team Posted December 18, 2003 Report Posted December 18, 2003 Ok, thanks, the people working on the patch will check why the CAB file made with this .inf file wouldn't install on patched i600. By the way, I noticed (and you probably know that already) that your CAB files are not compatible with Smartphone 2003. They use hard-coded pathnames and registry keys that don't exist on Smartphone 2003 (e.g. IPSM and HKLM,SoftwareMicrosoftWindows Media Player 8). In a couple of months, all the new Smartphones will be running sp2003.
