Guest MoRFLeZ Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 But, setting up a Paypal account can be a right royal pain in the ****. "Please enter the code that is shown for this transaction from your card statement to activate your account". Glad I have internet banking and didn't need to wait for my statement! Indeed - paypal is a pain!! I have online banking - I see no 4-digit code! I wait for my statement - NO 4-digit code! I write paypal for info - no 4-digit code! Just the same standard answers over and over!! Can't call my bank for the freaking code either! Now 6 months later, I still don't have paypal set up! Finally got str8 answers from them, but it requires for me to send copies of my credit card / drivers license etc etc by fax! Sc*** them... I'll live without!
Guest vijay555 Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 i had no problems; you don't need to enter the number to start using it do you? just to extend you balance or something. And then later, when you get your credit card statement (i checked mine online - Lloyds-TSB) you just enter the 4 digit code. Was easy going for me. Needed it to buy SD card and charging cable from Ebay! V
Guest fozzie Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 Yeah, no problems for me either. Once it's setup that's it. You can also add Switch cards too now. It's alright saying screw them, but if that's all someone takes then you're scuppered
Guest MoRFLeZ Posted June 11, 2003 Report Posted June 11, 2003 *smirk* problem is, I need to code to validate my credit card, otherwise I can't make any transfers :?: Or am I missing some point here...
Guest almark Posted June 11, 2003 Report Posted June 11, 2003 I have tried to register twice. On both occassions I could not find the £1 wihdrawal, and without the code I couldn't use it. I could try again, but, again I will have to wait for the money to be withdrawn and as it has failed twice before ......
Guest StylishLemur Posted June 17, 2003 Report Posted June 17, 2003 I am convinced,.... umm Buying....Paying.....Got it!!
Guest Henrik25 Posted June 17, 2003 Report Posted June 17, 2003 There is a link from their page where you can buy with creditcard (paypal dosent work for me, same reason as others arggg). But it is for the pocketPC version. Anyone knows if it works on the smartphone ?
Guest vijay555 Posted June 17, 2003 Report Posted June 17, 2003 don't think so. we followed the link for modaco plus members in the special forum... worth signing up, lextionary only cost £7... V
Guest binky_p Posted July 1, 2003 Report Posted July 1, 2003 I've tried the demo and it looks fine...thinking of having the full version on mine.. :)
Guest joparp Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 Too bad for the discount must be obtained through Paypal purchase. My country is not on the list of countries on Paypal website, so I can't have my Credit Card verified to get the discounted purchase. Anyway, this software is a must have on my SPVx, so I have managed to purchase it through Smartphone.Net already. AFAIK, Modaco Plus is not now available to apply for by newbies. Please let me know if it's possible to enjoy the Modaco Plus privileges. Cheers.
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 Anyone can apply for MoDaCo Plus? P
