Globe could have different APNs (access point names) for pre-paid internet & wap. Also you might get WAP only on prepaid. You could give CS a call and ask them about it.

Have you tried using the WAP connection.

Try accessing wsp://www.globe.com.ph/globe.wmlc or http://www.globe.com.ph/globe.wmlc

i laso can'ty access http sites, but i can access wap sites, i'm using prepaid sim

I don't think you will get full internet web access (HTML pages) over GPRS on prepaid. This is Globes GPRS rates showing costs and avaliability http://www.myglobe.com.ph/portal/featdetai...&title=features

I would probably confirm this with Globe CS.

You could try using the dialup for internet connnection instead.

In data connection, make Internet Connnection=Globe CSD

Create Dial Up Connection

Description: Globe CSD

Connects to: The Internet

Country code: 6

Dialling code: 39

Phone number: 172399

Username: globe

Password: globe

Domain: (blank)

It might not for work but its worth a try.

Guys I have also a globe prepaid sim and i tried to access the internet site http & wsp site, but after configuring my SAP I could only get to "finding site"of my explorer. The irony of this I could send MMS via GPRS to another globe friend. Do you have any idea why this is so?

WAP should be free and you should be able to access it.

Make sure that 'WAP Network=Globe WAP' in data conenctions.

PAYG doesn't have access to the APN internet.globe.com.ph therefore I would goto IE and untick 'auto detect' and make 'Select Network = WAP Network'. This should force the use of APN http://www.globe.com.ph/ for all WAP addresses using either WSP or HTTP.

http://www.globe.com.ph/globe.wmlc should now use the WAP APN.

Two questions:

1. San yung Settings - Accessories - MMS Setup? Wala namang settings - accessories na menu e.

2. Whenever I try connecting to GRPS, meron DIALING... na lumalabas. Di ba dapat free GPRS?

you wont be able to access full internet using gprs if you are using globe prepaid. only wap. but the best thing is that it is free. but certain sites now are being "blocked" by globe for no apparent reasons.

Hey guys!!! The GPRS settings posted doesn't seem to work... I am using a Globe Postpaid sim and I followed all the posted settings earlier. All I got is "Unable to connect. Verify you have network coverage and try again." or sometimes "Unable to place call."

Any other settings that will surely work? :)
