Guest Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 1) Copy them to the directory that VirtualDub is in. 2) Load Virtual Dub 3) Go to the File Menu and select "Load processing settings..." (or press Ctrl + L) 4) Select one of the .VCF files ("SPV 2.VCF" for standard portrait mode or "SPVLETtERBOX V2.VCF" for turn-phone widescreen stylee) Virtual Dub is now ready to use these settings. Hope that helps!
Guest mattscholey Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 I've used this to encode a music video, and fullscreens great, but I get a file size of 20MB for a 3min video. I've done a http://smartphone.MoDaCo.com/search.php>Search, and checked that it's using both the MP3 and DivX codecs, but I still get this huge filesize. What am I doing wrong? Many thanks, Matt Solved this problem (thanks to Brody). The problem was that my bitrate was too high. If you get this problem, check the video bitrate is at 120kbps. Matt
Guest zxt Posted November 8, 2003 Report Posted November 8, 2003 Thanks mattkirby, now if only somebody can tell me were to downoad Virtual Dub. Thanks again.
Guest zxt Posted November 8, 2003 Report Posted November 8, 2003 Got it already. Now time to do some encoding. :)
Guest pwig Posted January 17, 2004 Report Posted January 17, 2004 Hmmm ... My virtual dub seems to be making huge movies (60 megs for 20 mins) using the posted settings, any ideas?
Guest DMF Posted January 17, 2004 Report Posted January 17, 2004 my problem is will lagging sound ..... its fine for such as a 30 minute box-show, but for films, this is useless ..... 30 mins - fine 1 hr - a little delay, just noticable 1 hr 30 - annoying 2 hrs - turn the thing off... Anyone know how to get round that ? Especially since the source material sound is fine and in sync.

Guest Posted May 16, 2004 Report Posted May 16, 2004 So I need to install DivX codec 5.02, fine. But what do I need to change in VirtualDub once I've opened it?: Video: I've changed to 120Kbps, do I need to change anything else? Why 120Kbps? Audio: I've set to: 64Kbps, 48Hzs, Mono is this to high? I'm only interested in saving DivX files out as smaller DivX files and not mess around with DVD VOB files.
Guest happytang Posted April 27, 2005 Report Posted April 27, 2005 Ok, so I'm converting a file that orginally about 2:10 minutes long. It's converting to around 8 megs. Is there any way to shorten this?

Guest happytang Posted April 27, 2005 Report Posted April 27, 2005 I'm using the xvid codec to compress, and I'm putting it at about 200 kbps. The audio is MP3 11 khz. I'm using Eastwoods MPX-200 settings, ugh... what am I missing
