Playstation 2 Super Computer

I'd be hoping for something more in the region of £15K to get something worth building, which would need to include a couple of controller PCs of a fairly decent spec. But this is why what the consoles cost, what you get with them (Ethernet adapter, etc) and how easy it is to run Linux on them (is a mod chip required?) all become major factors in terms of keeping cost and time required to set them up and add/replace units down.

And this is just for the "supercomputer" hardware setup and not the s/w dev and other *cough* external *cough* hardware *cough* that may be required... ;-)
