Guest beckd Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 Just as a double-check, I just purchased & tested myself. In addition to the new registrations sent out all the original registrations that were giving people problems are valid now as well. Please email [email protected] if there are any problems. I make sure to have it monitored so any problems will get resolved quickly.
Guest glynton Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 Soz beckD was just a bit anxious to get playing it. I've just finished my exams.. and am being a total bum right now.. and was looking forward to playing the game!
Guest fozzie Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 Thanks for the registration Doug  Now then, it's been a week or two since playing the demo level, but I can't find the keys for the tractor beam or to fire the missiles ??!! Help! EDIT: Ooops, '8' is for the tractor beam but wtf was the key for the missiles - I'm sure I've tried them all! I could have sworn it was the 'action' key (or am I being a real numpty and the rockets were just there for the demo level 1 and I need to pick them up from somewhere in the full version?!) P.S. Doug - If I forget to close some of my background processes when running RocketElite, I get the out of memory screen saying the program is going to exit. The left soft key says 'yes' but selecting it doesn't do anything. If I use the 'backup' key then the game continues to load and then runs ok.
Guest beckd Posted June 11, 2003 Report Posted June 11, 2003 The default keys are basically arrows to steer and center of gampad & '0' for Action. Prev/Next Item is '4' and '6' respectively. So you select the rockets then use action. There are no rockets on level 1 on the full version  Also, make sure to go into the button config after you've played some and choose your buttons to your liking. Depending on whether you're left or right handed you may want to make changes, etc. Regarding the dialog box when there is not enough memory: I designed RocketElite to exit gracefully with a message but when calling the system function to shutdown other processes, if it fails the OS spawns that dialog instead of returning the results to the game. Possibly that'll be solved in an OS update.
Guest glynton Posted June 11, 2003 Report Posted June 11, 2003 My laser on level three doesnt seem to kill anything. They always kill me first. Am i dooing something wrong? Can they be killed?
Guest beckd Posted June 11, 2003 Report Posted June 11, 2003 ** spoiler ** There's more than one way to kill the enemies on level 3. It's a little difficult because your weapons haven't been upgraded so you have to get in real close. Make sure to grab a shield and use it before you attack. There is also a way you can do it that is a little trickier and you will be safe. I'll leave that for you to figure out.
Guest fozzie Posted June 11, 2003 Report Posted June 11, 2003 There are no rockets on level 1 on the full version :lol:/quote] Doh! Better use my shields a bit more efficiently on Level 1 then :D
