Guest M@rkC Posted August 11, 2004 Report Posted August 11, 2004 DJ Simon......just HOW varied is your record collection??? Got some old 70's punk anywhere around??? What about (as I start to show my age, feelin' bleedin' ancient already  ).... 1. The Skids - Into the valley (guitar intro - looped, or middle-eight, but as little of Richard Jobson's growling vocals as possible :P ) 2. Stiff Little Fingers - Alternative Ulster (guitar intro - looped, or middle-eight....long time since I last heard this one, so can't remember the middle eight....might be ok). 3. Undertones - Teenage Kicks ...and a bit more recent, just to show I'm not a complete old git...... 4. Feeder - Come back around..... What are my chances......????? If I check back tomorrow, will it be a case of "Last night a DJ saved my life" (InDeep, 1982) :D or a case of "...hang the DJ, hang the DJ, hang the DJ..." (Panic, The Smiths, 1986) I think I've still got all of the above punk tracks on vinyl :!: in my loft...no deck to spin them on...and no way of re-mastering to CD  Eeee...those were t'days.... Cheers dude, M@rk

Guest Disco Stu Posted August 25, 2004 Report Posted August 25, 2004 I am new here...how can I upload these ring tone onto my pocketpc 2003? Hello mate. Welcome to the forum :) You're not actually in the right place as this is a forum for Windows Smartphones. However there is a separate 'sister' forum you can access by clicking on "Phone Edition" on the front page which deals with PPC devices. You can probably upload ringtones etc far easier than we can but anyways this is how we do it ! 1. Click on "Download" to get the zip file onto your PC. 2. Use WinZip or WinRAR to extract the wav or MID file inside. 3. Copy the ringtome across to the phone when connected via ActiveSync 4. Paste into Storage Application Data Sounds 5. Select under Programs, Settings, Sounds I have no idea how PPC works but hope I've been of some service  :P

Guest james srs2 Posted September 22, 2004 Report Posted September 22, 2004 can anyone point me in the right direction to get the tools to make these ring tones, i have loads i can do!!
Guest Disco Stu Posted September 23, 2004 Report Posted September 23, 2004 Have a look at Simon Desser's guide here : http://smartphone.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?t=90760 Short answer though is to use dBpowerAMP to rip from CD and convert to .wav, then use Windows Sound Recorder to edit and save as PCM format. :)
