Guest Beardyboy Posted April 4, 2003 Report Posted April 4, 2003 Excellent, glad to see I'm not the only biker with an SPV... 8) I've currently got a '99 CBR600F4 and an '02 CB500 that I bought as a autumn/winter hack last year. I'm quite glad that I did, since I've come off the CB500 twice now, once on the snow/ice and once when a stupid car driver pulled out of a layby into me.
Guest Chris b.a.r.f. Posted April 4, 2003 Report Posted April 4, 2003 Aye, I have an old Yam DT175 to use in the winter; don't have to worry if I drop it once in a while
Guest Chris b.a.r.f. Posted April 4, 2003 Report Posted April 4, 2003 Not that I would suggest it. I have been told that it is possible to get a new bike (identical to say your old one, but a newer version) and swap plates? Not that it is legal (until you get caught). Obviously a rumour....... Naughty boy  Nah, coppers are too much on the case here, and I do a lot of riding at night (night-worker) so I get "routine-checks" at least once a week. Not worth the risk...
