my oh my, haven't we got these "nokia nerds" on the run  :?:

The main complaint in this thread seems to be about a complicated OS. Now, my phone before my SPV was a Nokia 7650, before that a Siemens SL45 and before that a Nokia 5110. how anyone can say a Nokia 7650 beats an SPV on aesthetics, design, applications is beyond me. My 7650 was sold within 3 weeks of having it - what a boring brick that was! Furthermore, you guys with 7650'say you found 2002 OS difficult to operate, how ?! The layout, the style, everything is the easiest thing to operate, straight out of the box - it's a learning curve for the first day but aftr that the SPV becomes an absolute dream to operate. Yes my SPV has had its ups and downs - but Im still on my first one and have never had the complaint about it being too slow - infact when I installed Mid's tweaks it was too fast!

Now, when the E-200 comes out there will be no competition for Microsoft. They've won as far as Im concerned. I mean UIQ 7.1 .v. WM2k3........did someone just say .net ;)

All you guys need to know is that I HAD a 7650.....

ooh, you made my day, its good to be appreciated heheh ;)

i also agree with you about the complicated argument, it isnt complicated at all, i think people just arent used to the softkeys, whenever i show it to nokia owning freinds they bash almost every button except the hotkeys and then pass it back and say 'too complicated', then i show then the hotkeys and then it all clicks into place, weird huh? the strange thing is, i had a look at a freinds boring plain nokia, and i couldnt use it, it was too complicated hehe, i suppose its what you get used to

Thanks for the non-flamin replies.

But I will comment that the 'it does everything' reply is a bit overstated.

My 7650 does everything the SPV does except have an MMC slot and play stereo MP3.

It has a video record function as well, which works very quicky, I shudder to think how slow the SPV would be in a video recording mode.

Download 1 little app (webviewer) and you have THE fastest and most useful webrowser on ANY phone, surfing using webviewer is a quantum leap from IE on the SPV, and it's only 46kb.

Yes the SPV is a more nerdy phone, but they don't market it as such, it doesn't say in the advertising (flexible but a pain in the @ss to use).

Yes it may get better, yes if you want an easy to use, fast reliable phone, buy a Nokia.

But what kind of a recommendation is that?

IT'S CRAP BUT IT CAN ONLY GET BETTER!

IF YOU WANTED A PHONE THAT WORKED, BUY SOMEONE ELSES!! :D

Hi, you mentioned about Webviewer... I have a Nokia 7650 and have tried using webviewer to view web pages... its cool and easy to use.. *edit: removed

For now, i could run webviewer but there are Black X on all the images... this really is annoying... hope anyone could help... thanks..

Thanks.

*edit by midnight: congratulations, first post and already breaking the rules

there is no crack code for web viewer if its that good an app then buy it i did for my old nokia 7250 and it works sort of if the page is to large no nokias can fully load it and you get error as some webpages have xtra items webviewer cant handle, i have both a nokia and an spv they both have there good points and bad points in the end it comes down to what phone you like the most in the hand and in the looks  :D
