Guest nickcornaglia Posted August 28, 2003 Report Posted August 28, 2003 Read this article... http://mobile-review.com/preview/motorola-...a-v700-en.shtml and noticed this interesting quote...any thoughts? When you open the smartphone, you will see a large display with the resolution of 176x220 pixels. Up to 9 text lines, service line and tips to the soft keys are contained there. The display supports up to 65000 colors, unfortunately it is not a touhscreen. Such kind of handsets will be available in the end of summer 2004.
Guest Crispy Posted August 28, 2003 Report Posted August 28, 2003 and noticed this interesting quote...any thoughts? Ok, who do we trust the most? Modaco or mobile-review.com???
Guest nickcornaglia Posted August 28, 2003 Report Posted August 28, 2003 I'm a puppet. I believe everything I read. Though, I don't think there is anything here other than a rumor. Did Modaco ever say that Smartphones would NEVER have touchscreens? If they did, I would believe. But I still want a Smartphone with a touchscreen. Or a Smartphone-sized PPC.
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted August 28, 2003 Report Posted August 28, 2003 No touchscreens for SmartPhone, MS have always stated that as a design objective. P
Guest nickcornaglia Posted August 28, 2003 Report Posted August 28, 2003 Doesn't mean they can't change their minds. I can still dream can't I?? :)
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted August 28, 2003 Report Posted August 28, 2003 Would you REALLY want a touch screen though? What benefits would that give? P
Guest nickcornaglia Posted August 28, 2003 Report Posted August 28, 2003 I hate tap typing. I'm sooooo good at grafitti (actually blocks recogniser from my PPC days...same thing). I picked up my friends Palm the other and wrote on it like I still had one....and I havn't used one in months. Basically....I need a better way for text entry. An integrated slide out keyboard would do as well.
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted August 28, 2003 Report Posted August 28, 2003 No way man, keypad rocks for me. The main reason I rarely use my XDA, and actually flogged my P800! P
Guest nickcornaglia Posted August 28, 2003 Report Posted August 28, 2003 Do you like vanilla or chocolate ice cream? :)
