Guest James Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 Like taking the lines from your sketches and turn them into geometry for your 3d models. Its in Inventor! works like a charm!
Guest James Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 HUMMM..... i cant find ANY support for MAX on the autodesk website...
Guest Mr_Protozoa Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 try this; http://www.discreet.com/support/max/
Guest James Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 i think this tool will alow MAX users to view VIZ stuff:- ftp://ftp1.discreet.com/web/support/3dstu...izcopytool5.exe This utility will provide users of both Autodesk VIZ 4 and 3ds max 5.x file and feature compatibility between these products. Some features will work exactly as they do in VIZ and other features work with certain limitations indicated in the readme. This is a script that is run with an authorized copy of Autodesk VIZ 4 that copies certain VIZ files into an authorized copy of 3ds max 5 on the same computer. Download this utility to a temporary folder and run it to extract it to a directory of your choice. Directions are in the readme.txt. Note: This is an 'unsupported' patch and is only usable with 3ds max 5.x.

Guest Mr_Protozoa Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 It'll probally be easier for you to install the max5 trial. That was you can check that it's outputting the data correctly and make modifications locally.
