with pass through, it is your desktop PC that is directly connected to the internet....so ys, you need a PC connected to the internet  :o  In Active Sync, go to Tools, Options, Rules then choose Internet for Pass Through.

Thank you for the clarification... now all i have to do is wait for my globe sim to be activated for GPRS :).... problem with globe is..... it really takes time to activate GPRS..... it been 2 weeks and still waiting for my cookies lol and GPRS activation:)

If you wish to use Pass Through, you dont need a GPRS activated sim... you only need an ISP (postpaid or prepaid) for your desktop dial-up

@grifter

no i haven't. i've been desperate in making it to work but i just can't. i thought it was just the limits of the t68i wap browser but then i used klondike wap browser for pc and one for the pocketpc (ipaq) and it still did not work. there used to be a topic at esato discussing this problem but no one provided any clear solution. i just thought maybe anyone here has an answer.

i tried using an account from hotpop but it seems that everytime

i send/retrieve emails using my smartphone this error warning appears:

"Unable to connect to the incoming mail server. Verify that the server name is correct then try again. "

i already supply the correct pop and smtp address but still this warning

keeps on appearing... :shock:

maybe sumbody can help me about this...

please... :)

It worked fine with me.

Check if you have GPRS connection by connecting to any site using pocket explorer and make sure:

Server Type = POP3

Incoming Mail Server = pop.hotpop.com

Outgoing Mail Server = smtp.hotpop.com

Login = [email protected]

I hope this helps.

Might be because you're using pass through internet? If you change data connection > internet connection = smart gprs, this will solve it hopefully.
