Guest BrAGoL Posted October 1, 2003 Report Posted October 1, 2003 @MoRFLeZ thanks mate... ;) what other features are added?
Guest MoRFLeZ Posted October 1, 2003 Report Posted October 1, 2003 Well from what I can gather .. of the little french I know .. there are some new nice graphs you can pull up... this is what it says on his website: Les données téléchargées via la connexion USB sont maintenant ignorées Nouvelles icônes animées et nouveau design Plus de bouclage lors de la remise à zéro des compteurs Affichage plus rapide de l'écran principal Beaucoup de nouvelles fonctions! Which I translate to: 1) It doesn't count while in the dockingstation anymore 2) New animated icons and a new design (groovy) 3) Something something something 4) Something about being faster on the mainpage? 5) Lots of new features Check out his site for screenshots: http://twyx.ifrance.com/twyx/
Guest BrAGoL Posted October 1, 2003 Report Posted October 1, 2003 sorry for this... i'm too slow in cancelling this post than my pc... ;) the right post should be the one below...

Guest kit_ethan Posted October 2, 2003 Report Posted October 2, 2003 The IMeter is a great app! However, a little difficult to use since its in french. But a great app nonetheless. At last, I don't have to manually monitor my calls in the call history, and sms in sms tools. Anyway, I just have a few questions I hope you could answer: -it is mentioned in the thread that an update is that they have changed the start of the month from 13th to 1st? what does this mean?Does it mean that the counters reset every 1st of the month? what if my billing statement ends every 17th and not every 1st? -is there a way that the calls are rounded up to the nearest minute? most telecom operators in the Philippines round up to the nearest minute. so if I made a 1minute 10 second call, it will be recorded as 2 minutes. I don't know if the credit (seconds) or usage(seconds) will do this. -what are the deductions for? And are the unit cost the same as cost per minute like Php8.00? Hope you could help me out and post ur reply. thanks inn advance.Ü
Guest adi116 Posted October 2, 2003 Report Posted October 2, 2003 I've just installed i-meter and really appreciated it. same as with kit_ethan; Could somebody please help us in setting the parameters, like the: cost : -> is this the cost in making a phone call? what amount should i enter here? because cost of making a phone call varies depending on peak and non-peak hours (i'm speaking here in the philippines) credit time: -> is this the free minutes (converted in seconds)? usage: -> i really dont have an idea about this. also, may you please discuss the details about the set deductions, is this different from the credits? and finally, the GPRS unit cost (octets) - what is (are) octets? here in the philippines we are charged at 0.25 centavos per kb use of GPRS. should i put 0.25? Thank you in advance. ;)
Guest Maves Posted October 2, 2003 Report Posted October 2, 2003 Hey, I've just got the english version today, and have to check it before it got to download, the danish version is also finish, so maby in the week the language pack will come out (with english and danish) Maves
Guest pcheaven Posted October 2, 2003 Report Posted October 2, 2003 Hey, I've just got the english version today, and have to check it before it got to download, the danish version is also finish, so maby in the week the language pack will come out (with english and danish) Maves Any idea when english version generally available ? Does it work on the Mio?, as other GPRS monitors I have tried crash the phone.
Guest kit_ethan Posted October 3, 2003 Report Posted October 3, 2003 Adi! I found some of the answers! I emailed Twyx and asked him how the settings work... I posted his reply below. So basically, the 1st one is indeed the reset date rather than the unit cost, the next one is used for drop calls (adi, do you know if the 6 second drop call still works? or will i need to put 1 or 0 second here) And the next one is for rounding up to the minute, so place 60 sec.Ü Hi, i'm very pleased to see that IMeter has crossed the ocean to reach the philippines !!!! Thank you for your interest! The translations are not done by myself because i know my english will not be good enough, however, they are in progress ! Regarding your problem, IMeter is already able to do it. Just navigate to Option/Préférences/Définir Forfait Then the first number is the day your plan is reset in the month. The second number is where you specify (in seconds) the minimum amount of time your operator will bill you as soon as a calls is paced. The third number is where you specify the steps (in seconds) used by your operator. This is typicaly where you will put 60 to round to the next minute. Hope this helps Twyx
Guest MoRFLeZ Posted October 3, 2003 Report Posted October 3, 2003 Any idea when english version generally available ? Does it work on the Mio?, as other GPRS monitors I have tried crash the phone. Ummm did you read Maves' post? *hehe* .. his guess was "a week" =D> Can't wait!!
Guest adi116 Posted October 3, 2003 Report Posted October 3, 2003 Adi! I found some of the answers! Yeah! thanks kit! I've also read it from your post in the other discussion forum. Thanks for the info. By the way, do you visit the general pinoy? i haven't noticed any post coming from you in that forum.
Guest twyx Posted October 3, 2003 Report Posted October 3, 2003 Hello everyones! WOUAAA !!! I'm not a regular reader of that forum since (you guess what?) I prefer reading the French ones... This morning, i've just read your talks about IMeter!!! I'm really surprised and happy to see that despite the french language you are still trying to use my software ;) Thanks for that! I understand that you desperatly need it in English, because myself i will be in the same situation with a German software! IMeter V1.0a is fully localizable but i'm not fluent enough to be sure of my translations. Maves proposed his help, and i thank him. So now, i'm waiting for him for the translations; i'd like to make a cab file for each different language available: This will allow you to install only the language pack you need to save space (though a language pack should not exceed 15 Ko i guess) Hope this packs will come out soon, and i'll try to come back here to see your comments! See ya! Twyx
Guest adi116 Posted October 3, 2003 Report Posted October 3, 2003 Thanks a lot twyx. Hope you could also make a filipino version! I believe PZEE had already made efforts to translate it in our language. Maybe you could help each other. ;) you may check this link: Imeter - Filipino Modification by PZEE

Guest MoRFLeZ Posted October 3, 2003 Report Posted October 3, 2003 I KNOW Twyx wouldn't mind compiling the program pzee .. if you send the translations to him... that's what we did with the English and Danish version. Twyx's IMeter e-mail is: [email protected] So just send him an e-mail and he'll tell ya what he wants/needs
Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted October 3, 2003 Report Posted October 3, 2003 @Morflez Sent him a mail already. I'll wait for his reply ;)
