this is my first time to convert vcd movies to wmv.i first, renamed the .dat file to mpeg and coverted it to wmv.i was able to convert the mpeg file to wmv.it seemed to work fine while playing it on the pc.but there is no sound when i played it on my phone.what could be wrong?

another is the size of the file.50% of disc 1(1/4 of the movie) sized up to 50mb already.does this mean,100% of disc 1 should be about 100mb and the entire movie should 200mb?

is there any way to make it a lot smaller?i read on one of the threads here that a full length movie can fit in a 128mb sd card

i'd appreciate any suggestions.thanks much!

Ok.. heres the explanation... it didnt play the sound cuz tanagers only have media audio V8. u probably configured an incompatible codec. WMA9 etc...

try this config:

2 Total streams

Audio: [32 Kbps] <Windows Media Audio V8> Stereo 22.1 kHz

Video: [111.2 Kbps] 208 x 160 <Windows Media Video V7>

Video stream (111.2 Kbps): 8 fps, 1 seconds per key frame, Quality: 0

With dewslat's encoding, you'll get about 1MB per min.
