Guest pyke Posted October 4, 2003 Report Posted October 4, 2003 i just got my keypads replaced yesterday.bago ko binigay kay honeylet(brightpoint)yung phone ko,i told them how notorious they are about the smudges under the screen.sabi niya"...o sige sir,wag nalang natin ipalinis yung screen kung ganun.".ibig sabihin, kaya pala nagkaka-smudges yung ilalim ng screen ay dahil pinipilit pa nilang linisin yung screen.tendency is,lalo tuloy dumudumi because of their grubby paws.ayun,ok na yung phone ko.new soft keys, new keypads, new volume and record buttons minus the smudges.too bad, hindi covered and window panel(Php 450) at yung joystick(Php 200).piece of advice sa mga magpapalit ng keypads. unahan niyo na sila bago niyo iabot ang phone niyo.sabihin niyo na marami kayong kakilalang nagrereklamo about the smudges.BE STIFF AND GIVE THEM THE IMPRESSION THAT YOU'RE NOT TOLERANT WITH MISTAKES.hehe!effective, dudes! at least, alam na nila na alam na natin ang kapabayaan nila.another is,hindi ako makapaniwala na void na ang warranty pag pininturahan mo yung window like what mar did.what a silly ground to void the warranty

Guest BrAGoL Posted October 6, 2003 Report Posted October 6, 2003 sana may branch ang BP sa mindanao..kahit sa Cebu ok na yun... pards, meron yatang BP sa cebu...
Guest rodnav Posted October 6, 2003 Report Posted October 6, 2003 @sonborj, ask the place where you brought the phone where to avail of the service warranty.
Guest kapitan jackal Posted October 7, 2003 Report Posted October 7, 2003 @hmmm . . . nagtataka lang ako. ok parin tong keypads ko at action key :-? mga ilang months ba (in normal use) bago kumupas ang kulay ng mga keypads ng sap-sap?
Guest rodnav Posted October 7, 2003 Report Posted October 7, 2003 @kap the lifespan of the action key depends on your usage. if you don't use it a lot or is very careful in handling them, it should last a while. mine only gave in after 4 months. same goes for the soft keys, they would sink faster if you press them hard, which happens when you don't get response from your phone right away. we have a tendency of pressing again and harder if the phone doesn't respond immediately. as for the call keys, the newer units have smaller "phone icons" the colored part that shows. my unit had the bigger icons and they lasted less than a month. now, i've used nail polish and the silver paint is still there, but though the red dot on the record also had nail polish, it's now gone after only 3 weeks.
Guest pyke Posted October 7, 2003 Report Posted October 7, 2003 @kap ...but though the red dot on the record also had nail polish, it's now gone after only 3 weeks. kapapalit ko lang nung keypads and buttons pero tanggal na yung red sa record buttone ko,eh.improved na nga kaya yung mga keys na pinalit nila?
Guest grifter Posted October 8, 2003 Report Posted October 8, 2003 @rodnav, the problem with the softkey is in the mounting method. The softkey is attached to the bezel by a thin plastic strip. the plastic strip acts like a spring when you press the action key. The plastic will normally break after some time. This is the same problem that we have with our Dell Laptops here. The touchpad buttons have the same mounting style as the SAP's softkeys. Sadly, all of our laptops' touchpad buttons are defective already. ;) In short -- the problem with the softkeys breaking down is caused by a design flaw.
Guest rodnav Posted October 8, 2003 Report Posted October 8, 2003 @grifter, thanks for the information. at least my dell laptop's touchpad buttons still work well. but as for my SAP, the soft key's are longer exactly aligned with each other. the left soft key a tiny bit lower than the right. as it is the one used more often. this flaw should/must have been corrected in the SPV 2.
