Hmmmm!!! My local Orange shop said that the 16th was the official release date (that was this afternoon, when I asked). As it was a Sunday they wouldn't be getting any deliveries until the following Monday, maybe! They also said the price (and for this she got out an official bit of paper) would be £169.99 for contract users between £25-50 per month. No price for anything over that.

Sorry If I got anyone upset....

I notice that is you select show all pay monthly phones the E200 and MPx200 are not there...but if you select a phone brand (orange or motorola) they both show....

thank god.. I thought they might be holding it back or something!

   BAD BAD NEWS

Just phoned my local Orange shop (in the Netherlands) and they told me the E200 is delayed coz of software problems. They are HOPING to get it out this year but they are not sure!

I hope this isn't the same for UK and other countries... I'm soooo disappointed.

Better to wait a month and get a full-working model than a crappy one right? Comfort me guys

Heh, for once, the usual "there's been a recall", or withdrawn due to software problems comments by shops that are out of stock or didn't get allocated any won't hold. If there's a major software problem with this phone, it'll be all over the media because MS made it.

The actual reason for these comments in the past has been to plant some fear, uncertainty and doubt into the minds of the buyer so that he hopefully won't buy from any other shop either.

ehm Kallisti... don't wanna break your heart or anything but I got the same message from several stores in different cities. It could be that there's just a problem with compatibility to the network here in the NL coz as far as I know launch for UK and DK are still on schedule.

By the way... HQ here in NL doesn't even know what goes on in the shops... so pathetic.

That price aint right.

On Mobileshop.com you can pre order a e200 for as little as £79 for the handset on the O2 OVP 100 tarrif (£25 a month).

If you want a good deal, look at www.mobileshop.com !

well, it looks like nppage2000 was wrong, still no sign of the e200 for anything other that pre-order.

So much for definate release dates eh? ...nppage2000

Maybe we have to wait a bit for the sites to refresh?

I've also noticed that the Orange SPV e100 has been removed from the Orange website, a sign that the release must be very very soon?

My local Orange Retail store just told me it'll be released "early next week". This still fits in with tthe prediction of the 17th...

My Local Orange store have just told me the 23rd November !!

They say it will be £170 for upgrade if your tarrif is £25 or over.

Seems they all have different answers, and when you phone O CS, most have no idea at all.

Is it TOP SECRET or something, we just want one......soon.

COME ON ORANGE, pull your finger out!
