You don't need to go to the actual fone menu. If you follow the above instructions then you should see a hard reset option BEFORE the phone boots up.

yeah i got that, lol it just still wont work! :) just goes on to orange and refuses to do the hard reset thingy. Ive tried so much :D

To be absolutely exact, this is what I do when I hard reset.

Power phone off.

Hold down both left and right soft keys.

While the soft keys are held down, press bower button once (press power button down for approx half a second and release) and then continue to keep soft keys held down.

A black screen with a hard reset menu should appear before the phone boots up. If the phone attempts to boot up then you have failed to get to the reset screen.

I can't think of anything else unless there are any buttons stuck and causing you problems.

exactly wat ur explaining is what im doing, which is why im so darn confused!! :) it just wont do it, and im at a loss to why as ive followed this procedure directly and precisely. the only thing i can think of doing is taking my fone to the orange shop, do u think they'll b able to do anything?

If it won't reset then yes it could be worth taking to an Orange shop.

Just check that there are no stuck keys on the phone as that would cause you problems getting into the hard reset screen.

this is the thing, theyre definately not sticky or stuck keys, they av always worked fine. I just think maybe my fone's being awkward:p i honestly dnt think im doing anythin rong so cant think of wat to do!
