Guest chewie Posted December 17, 2002 Report Posted December 17, 2002 At the moment this topic could be getting a bit risky due to piracy. I've notifed paul about this topic, the reason i am a little concerned is that if these games are not to be distributed it wont look good for us if we are allowing people to find out where to get them from. I'll leave everything alone for now, but i'm just letting you guys know that the links maybe removed if we arent sure whether the games can be distributed freeley!
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted December 17, 2002 Report Posted December 17, 2002 For now, i'll let this topic be. If anyone from Orange or an Orange.dk can confirm the source, I will update the topic as required. The forum does not support piracy - but I have previously heard that these apps are freely available from Orange. Can anyone confirm? Are they any good? :D P
Guest kevlar Posted December 17, 2002 Report Posted December 17, 2002 they are ok for free. But that's about it. Kevlar
Guest muude Posted December 17, 2002 Report Posted December 17, 2002 I did tell U they weren't much, but still.... Invasion is a classic....
Guest chewie Posted December 17, 2002 Report Posted December 17, 2002 I did tell U they weren't much, but still.... Invasion is a classic.... I thought they are cool. Well done Muude and thanx for posting em :D
Guest kevlar Posted December 17, 2002 Report Posted December 17, 2002 yes, they are ok, and it would be great to get lots of free games of this standard to kill a few minutes here and there, but you wouldn't pay for them, would you? Kevlar
Guest spacemonkey Posted December 17, 2002 Report Posted December 17, 2002 This is what freeware is about... crappy games but free. Unfortunately these are free because Orange has done them I presume as a bit of a value added type thing (and maybe they have some geeks working for them who did them). Unfortunately with certification I don't think we're gonna see that much in the way of cheesy freeware... Paul etc, thanks for leaving the links up, if you do get messaged in regards to removing the link please email me and I'll pull them off my homepage space. Cheers
Guest Shire29 Posted December 18, 2002 Report Posted December 18, 2002 Now this is more like it, thanks a lot for these, the best fun gaming I've had for a while. :D More, more, ahhhh takes me back......... Cheers, Shire
Guest madu Posted December 18, 2002 Report Posted December 18, 2002 So far so good, no information of O/MS being pissed off with this... One question, if it is free and produced by O for O users, how come is it only in DK that it was availible and distributed?!?? Now O has lost its credits for providing these lovely freeware games on their SPV site... All hail Muude and MoDaCo!!! (and thanks to P for keeping them up for now..) Invasion is a classic and water... was ok - good as free entertainment, but would NEVER pay for it!! Bought Interstellar Flames for 1 squid the other day - ok for a squid, shows some impressive graphics, but is not the best gaming experience due to lack of game control... Would keep you glued to the screen for a while though..
Guest casper508 Posted December 20, 2002 Report Posted December 20, 2002 I cant wait for Baseball Addict. Any ideas when its coming out ??
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted December 20, 2002 Report Posted December 20, 2002 Forget that... WORMS WORMS WORMS! P
Guest JaToAc Posted December 20, 2002 Report Posted December 20, 2002 YES, give us WORMS (or NAILS)... would be a real killer...
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted December 20, 2002 Report Posted December 20, 2002 NAILS? You mean snails? :D P
Guest JaToAc Posted December 20, 2002 Report Posted December 20, 2002 yep, typo... :D one of my ppc favorites... plays great on my pocket loox :(
Guest Dizzy Posted December 21, 2002 Report Posted December 21, 2002 j 8) ust got the free games havn't tried them out yet, but i bought tennis addict full hand casino and interstellar flames. :D tennis addict is the best cos you can play it without the "Joypad" my fingers are fat and clunky. interstellar flames is ok but as other people have said i would be annoyed if i had payed a fiver for it. the game that came free with the spv, Rebound i havn't heard people talk about much i reckon its got wicked graphics and has got some really good game play but beacuse of the controls its near impossible once you have to start jumping big gaps and stuff is a shame really. the thing that really annoys me about this game the most is the way it go's into the menu if you hit one of the keys round the joypad then quits on you, ive been doing really well then bang whole games over thats a right pain in the ***. anyone else found this? full hand casinos kinda ok to play for five minutes or so gets a bit boring like solitaire. if any games writers out there i urge you please use the number keys for controlls and not the joystick will make it much more fun and easier to play.
Guest reubenhowes Posted December 22, 2002 Report Posted December 22, 2002 Downloaded mine from http://www.smartfone.co.uk/ - the invaders thing works fine on my SPV (failed to find an exit command) haven't tried the other hope this helps
Guest reubenhowes Posted December 22, 2002 Report Posted December 22, 2002 oops sorry bit unclear downloaded FREE from http://www.smartfone.co.uk/ no comments on site re - program licence status so I assume its freeware
Guest mroneliner Posted January 6, 2003 Report Posted January 6, 2003 just a thought, i'm more than happy to pay orange £6 a month for the full spv service, would you pay £10 a month for a better, enhanced service allowing you to download any new games or apps for free (well included in the £10)? i know i would.... just a thought
Guest Andy @ Frogford Posted January 9, 2003 Report Posted January 9, 2003 ok dum question here but.... I've downloaded the waterman and invasion .exe files. but where do i put em ???? tried them on the SD card but it doesnt recognise that theyre there :?: Please help as solitare is driving me mad at the mo ! Ta
Guest spacemonkey Posted January 9, 2003 Report Posted January 9, 2003 Put them anywhere you like on the phone. However you won't get a start menu item for them because you haven't installed them or anything. You can either use all-explorer to run the exe itself or... (I'm sure there's other ways but) When connected to your computer explore... then find the exe and open a second explore and find the start menu (/IPSM/Windows/Start Menu) drag and drop (maybe right mouse button to get a context menu) and create shortcut.
Guest optiquest Posted January 10, 2003 Report Posted January 10, 2003 How To Quit Invasion and Waterman, Just press number 2 :D
