Guest crimminsky Posted November 22, 2003 Report Posted November 22, 2003 Probably a stupid question but Why is the gprs sticking on a proplem? as long as it's not downloading data it doesn't cost anything does it?, or does it cause other problems?

Guest Pagemakers Posted November 22, 2003 Report Posted November 22, 2003 Probably a stupid question but Why is the gprs sticking on a proplem? as long as it's not downloading data it doesn't cost anything does it?, or does it cause other problems? You said it, as long as it's not downloading....but does it send a small packed of data every few minutes like "are you still connected - yes/no" etc. Over a period of weeks of being permanently on it will mount up. I'm sure it's also detrimental to battery life.
Guest jason76 Posted November 24, 2003 Report Posted November 24, 2003 yep i've had most of these problems very disapointed. most anoying the buzz when in call, seems to me just bad build if so no software fix hope i'm wrong. sturday morning  sunday morning ;) monday morning  mpx200 lucking tempting
Guest Pagemakers Posted November 24, 2003 Report Posted November 24, 2003 Then there's this little gem Email bug http://smartphone.MoDaCo.com/viewtopic.php?t=96992
Guest jtsaint Posted November 24, 2003 Report Posted November 24, 2003 To get rid of the G when it looks as if gprs is still on hold down the home key and choose disconnect GPRS. You can also use this to quickly access bluetooth settings. My list of extra bugs are: Bluetooth is nor implemented very well and seems to have a mind of its own with headsets. The range is very poor. No automatic profiles The voice quality is way better than smart phone but if you presss the phone against your ear it gets really really bassy and crackles. The scripting feature ( that allows shortcuts to menus ie holding down the home key) is crap and doesnt work properly The battery life is terrible - really really bad. As usual the manual is crap.
Guest yves Posted June 10, 2004 Report Posted June 10, 2004 bluetooth does in fact not drain battery very hard, it's the SD-IO slot!! eject your SD whenever possible, use MMC when you do not need fast media access. There seems to be a lack in the SDIO driver dll so it can't suspend the ports functionalities when not needed or not applicable. therefore it's always on an drains the battery.
