I've tried four times this morning, no luck. they keep offering me a new extra contract. Also asked if I had already called today. sounds like they're getting suspicious!

My monthy bill is about 120-130, and Orange charged me £50 for a E100 a few months ago.....

Both my wife and I have E100 on Orange contract and I phoned too just.

They refused to budge.

I threatened to leave and pull both the phones off. Was put through to different department where I used the line about the MSN software being the main reason we got the phones in the first place. I moaned like hell about the hastle its been from Orange operator to Orange operator and being told all sorts of different release dates.

Was simply told that they were aware (now get this!!!)....of certain websites that had a lot of irrate orange customers getting fed up with the no show update!!!! (or words to that effect. Goes to show that Orange really are at some point looking in on the forum.

Anyway......the end result was that they were understanding but only offered a £30 reduction in a couple of new E200.(per handset.)

nixy (seriously NOT ammused!!!!)

:-k looks like orange are getting wise to this situation. bad news for all those who didn't get in early. then again all these posts about bugs and probs are starting to worry me.

when you get an upgrade, do you have to stay with them for some set period of time ie 6mnth or something?

I thought I'd have a go but the rather dull uncharasmatic woman at the other end said it'll be £275!  Sod that! So I asked her what department would be the best to ask about the MSN fix and the rumoured 1.6 update. She said dunno, and hung up.

Talk 60, contract out 4th Feb, txt bundle + Orange World 5.

Monthly bill £50-£60

It just totally depends on who you get and I think they're starting to wise up.

Everyday 50 upgrades

I've got them drop the upgradge fee but not the price (they want 199.) Contract due 11/01/04. They did say that they could do it for £99 after that date though. but I want it for xmas! ok they said that they could match any other upgrade that anyone else had had through the retentions department ( I threatened to leave). so..

Is there anyone on ED50 that has got better than £199 to upgrade with only ~1.5 months or more left to go on their contract.?

Aparntly ED50 isa low user tarrif even though I've got 1500 minutes a month for £15. Of I could of course have 1000 mins a month for £20? I don't think so! I've been with O since Feb 2000.

Many thanks

Chris

Chris,

I got 3 weeks left and they agreed to waive the upgrade fee and drop the price to £99. After reading the problems here I am seriously considering the MPx200 (although I might wait for the MPx220 cos I want bluetooth). Normally if your'e on E50 they want you to leave as we cost them money!

Mick
