if your phone doesnt switch to pass through when you put it into the cradle goto settings/data connections and set internet connection to pass through. You will know if pass through is working if you open internet exp on the phone and it doesnt dial gprs.

Hi gang. I have downloaded this file but it just will NOT unlock my phone. Then I tried the link to the Orange developers site and this too will not unlock the phone. I am nearly in tears here and have spent the best part of a week trying to unlock my Orange branded MPX200. Will some (PC Literate) Kind soul please please help me?

I even took my phone to my local unlockers in Nottingham and they tried twice, but alas to no avail.

I am on the point of breaking the skin on my forehead from headbutting my desk.

What is the actual problem when you try to unlock via the

developers site?

I you have problems with the actual process try contacting the developers site via email.

hi ive tired the pass through method which doesnt seem to work for me. ive cradled the handset and tred to set the internet connections to passthrough which i cannot seem to fina as an option - am i doing something wrong??

Passthrough is selected in SettingsData Connections

Need Help right the way. I got my Mpx200 from US but now I am in Asian. The phone already in 2003 but it seems have a simlock and other things got lock. What should I do with it ?

Not sure what you mean by other things got locked though :?

If you mean the phone is asking for a PUK code you need to get that from the network.

I have been on the orange site about 100 times over the last week to desert my MPX200 and I get the message telling me to wait for five mins. But they haven't done it.

I got it to work a few months ago but I had to do hard reset since then as my phone crashed. I only want the desert to use a decent mp3 player program for my phone as I have bought a 512Mb SD card for it.

Any other ideas of how to decert my phone? And do you think its worth ringing orange?

I would say no.

Keep trying and make sure you've connected the phone to the internet first, since you've done a hard reset after unlocking the first time.

Also, enter the IMEI you get by putting *#06# into the keypad rather than the shorter version printed on the phone.

Phoning Orange will not help as it is a seperate department.

Your best bet is to email them at the address on the developers site.

I'd love to do the OTA way but i have never connected to the web and i dont intend to if its not necesarry...

but OTA way says i need to connect first :S?

i have a new mpx200 so i presume i cant use the "other software" way?

Ps: something else... why is Betaplayer so slow on my mpx200?

Beta player should not be slow on the mpx200 but with your phone being application

locked it should not run on your phone :?

I presume you have an Orange MPX200 running the 2002 OS?

Actually, I am not using an Orange MPX200 running the 2002 OS. I am using a Cingular MPX220 with Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition (4.21 kernel). This phone was recently released.

It is only Orange that application lock their phones in the attempt to reduce

the risk of malicious code being installed on the phone.

I am not sure about Cingular but there is a high chance that your phone in not

application locked.

Well, I am trying to run Sandra via activesync. I usually have to sign the dll sandra uses so that Sandra has access to RAPI calls. I can't sign the dll because with the MPx220 the spdps.exe errors out telling me that I have to reinstall embedded visual c++. But, I had this same issue occur with a MPx200 and application unlocking the phone allowed me to sign the dll. I was hoping do to the same thing with the MPx220.

Hi I am new to this and on top of it I am not computer savvy so i need some help....i want to buy a mpx200 from my friend who uses AT&T and unlock it to use on Cingular in north america. A friend told me that there is a way to unlock the phone for free....can somebody let me know how to do that? any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

there is not a free way to SIM unlock your phone, you need a site

like www.imei-check.co.uk to SIM unlock your phone.

I installed it on my Belgian MPx200, and while it said the install had failed, I can now run .CAB's I couldn't run before. Seems to work. :lol:

Depending on the age of your phone and location the Alphaflux method may not work. If this happens than the only way to unlock your phone is the Orange developers site.
