Hey I installed it but my phone is still askin for an unblock code, does anyone knows how to get rid of it?

Many thanx

Please please please ~please~ stop reporting this post!  I've lost count of the number of times i've cleared the reports now! Cheers, Mono.

EDIT awarner title change as only Orange UK MPX should need decerting

as other networks phones are decerted as standard.

Hello again,

PLEASE READ ALPHAFLUX'S POST IN PAGE 7 OF THIS THREAD FOR UPDATES

I got tired of waiting for a response from the Orange engineering/technical team; and with the lack of any real dates being posted for an <a href=http://smartphone.MoDaCo.com/viewtopic.php?t=22908>OTA</a> unlock from Orange, I decided to take matters into my own hands!   It has taken a few days and a number of hard resets (I don’t care to count how many!), but I finally cracked it! I hold in my hand a fully application unlocked (de-certified) MPx200, running all manner of uncertified applications.

Anybody interested? Thought you might be! Just read on...

The MPx200 security is by default set lower than that of the SPV, which is what makes this possible. It may work on the SPV series as well, but from experience during testing, the SPV security policy prevents it. It’s worth noting though that I don’t own an SPV, so can’t really confirm this. Give it a go, it’s simple to do and what have you got to loose?!?! (I would be especially interested to know if anyone has any success with this method on the e100/e200).

I promised an easy unlock and that’s what you’ll get … There is no need for a <a href=http://smartphone.MoDaCo.com/viewtopic.php?p=97945#97945>Hard Reset</a>, in fact no need to even reboot your phone! And not only that, but it will survive a soft reset and will work for any MPx200. Almost feels criminal!

I know what you are thinking, stop blabbing and get to the point already! I am almost there, honestly! Just a tiny little bit more first…

Now you'll just have to trust me on this one, and I might be reading too much into it, but the implications of this method are massive and more than a little disturbing to say the least!    So much so, I was in 2 minds about putting this out. When you see how its done, if you care, you’ll understand why. I for one will certainly be checking the installation scripts of unsigned apps in the future!

So, for the good of the nation and the sanity of MPx200 owners (maybe newer SPVs too)… Just download the attached "unlock" cabinet file (you’ll need to be registered and logged into see the files), copy it to your phone and install. Now install an uncertified application and see it in all its glory. That’s all there is to it! And to be complete I have also attached a re-lock cabinet, just in case anyone wants it! How that for service!

Just be warned, don’t play with the settings! Changes to the policy values will lock your phone down harder that it is now and prevents this method from working again without a <a href=http://smartphone.MoDaCo.com/viewtopic.php?p=97945#97945>Hard Reset</a>. I know should know; I managed to lock my phone down harder than fort knox. I almost cried.   Don’t say I didn’t warn you! For those of you out there that don’t heed my advice, a <a href=http://smartphone.MoDaCo.com/viewtopic.php?p=97945#97945>Hard Reset</a> can be performed on the MPx200 by holding down the blue action and power buttons at the same time.

Take care, and enjoy the MPx200 to its full potential!  :D

Special thanks go to all those people out there who did the original work on the SPV. Without which, this would not have been possible.

Alphaflux, over and out.

Welcome to the site

Just checking but unblock code? are you sure you are trying to decert your phone or to SIM

unlock it?

If it's SIM unlock you need to pay someone for the code, there are plenty of site around that can do it for you including a low price if you are a

MoDaCo Plus member.

gave it a shot...a slow & steady one at that...following is the procedure I followed and the results:

- d/loaded 'Alphaflux Unlock.zip' from alphaflux's post

- sync'ed up the Mio

- copied the file into IPSM/Windows/Start Menu

- It promptly appeared in the Programs menu

- I clicked on it

Results:

- "Installation failed. The program or setting cannot be installed because it does not have adequate system permissions. Please contact your service provider for more information"

what?!?!?!?...Now I don't even see it in my Programs menu...pls advise.

their phones.

I may be lacking in knowledge here, but copied unlock file. How do I transfer it to MPX200 without a sim card in phone?

Can anyone help as I'm dying to try my new phone out!!!

unless the radio is set to off you need to have a SIM card in the phone to be able to use Activsync and the phones menu.

The big question for US AT&T users- is MPX200 going to work on any GSM network once unlocked with ALFAFLUX unlock? I know we can install any app on it right now but how about working on any GSM network after unlocking with .cab file? anyone using this phone on tmobile or cingular or any other gsm network?

Guest awarner [MVP]

Users of AT&T do not have any need for this app.

This app only Decerts the phone which is only a feature of phones

on the Orange network.

This will not SIM unlock your phone.

I am a new user and have just downloaded the cab file to unlock my MPX200 phone. It worked fine but I can't seem to fit Doom onto my internal flash storage as there is not enough room. I have deleted all the obvious such as email, call history but there is still not quite enough room. Does anyone have any tips on how to fit the game on to my MPX200 either by deleting something I have missed or can it just be played from my SD card which has plenty of space? Thanks Shmuckadon

Yep put it on an SD card, all apps should really be installed on the

storage card and not the phone.

awarner thanks for your advice, I have now put the .app doom on my SD card but not sure how to access this file. Seems I can only access my SD card via media player or photo gallery. Is there another way?

Yep get the excellent Smart Explorer from www.monolithix.org

that and Task Manager (both from Binarys) are the two must have

apps on my phone.

Welcome to the site :)

Sorry but as the title says "Application unlock (decert) your Orange UK MPx200"

This only removes the application lock on the Orange MPX200, it does

not remove the SIM lock.

The only way to remove the SIM lock at the moment is to find someone offering an unlocking service.

Unfortunately there is not a free way to SIM unlock yet.

Excellent, thanks for that. I managed to install SmartBatt. One question, I loaded Unlock (AppOnly) to my phone and ran it sucessfully, but I was unable to run Unlock3.exe on my PC. Should it be run on the PC or the phone? Is it needed? Thanks.

If it ran sucessfully and you can now install unsigned apps then

that's all you need to do :)
