Guest Pagemakers Posted January 4, 2004 Report Posted January 4, 2004 Remember though if you buy it on a new contract you get 14 days to return it and depending on your chosen tariff the phone could be free. If you like it you can return the phone and then upgrade if you want (so you do not hard 2 contracts). On the other hand if you do not like it just return it and your contract is cancelled. You have nothing to loose and you can do this with any Orange phone and many 02 models (not sure about the other networks). Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest nengers Posted July 1, 2004 Report Posted July 1, 2004 Pardon my ignorance folks. I need your help. DOnt have time to research anymore. Just got the Treo 600 and lovin it. I have a 256 MB MMC Card in place already but here are my two questions/problems 1. How do I copy files from my PC to my MMC. Plugging the USB wont show a New Drive on the Windows explorer. I tried using IR to copy one MP3 file to my Phone. took 10 minutes for a 4 MB file. Then I encountered Problem 2. 2. When file was transferred. I can neither plan the MP3 nor store it in my Phone. How to use Pocket Tunes anyway? Thanks
Guest Taoski Posted July 1, 2004 Report Posted July 1, 2004 Welcome to the site! However... this site is aimed towards Microsoft Smartphones and associated hardware - not our PalmOne cousins. You might be able to find the answer over at www.treocentral.com or www.mytreo.net
Guest macpegg.uk Posted July 7, 2004 Report Posted July 7, 2004 I may have missed this, but whats the internal memory size please?
Guest bugeyes Posted July 7, 2004 Report Posted July 7, 2004 The treo has 32 meg internal memory ,but and its a whopping but with some third party software you can fool the machine into thinking the sd card is ram! yet to try it on my new Treo600 so dont know how good it is but one reveiw i read on mytreo.net was very favourable reporting very little diiference inb access times between the ram and (sd)ram
Guest Taoski Posted October 25, 2004 Report Posted October 25, 2004 Just thought i would resussitate this thread: http://www.palmone.com/us/products/smartph...650/details.epl The new Treo 650 has been launched. It looks a little better than the blurry screened original. Will we expect a review again?
Guest Coucou Posted October 27, 2004 Report Posted October 27, 2004 Hi! Been a while (although I've been popping back to look at the front page every now and then). Unfortunately indications are that the 650 won't be available on Orange till next year, still, my upgrade isn't till May so I'm not that bothered ^_^
Guest ArtyCarl Posted October 28, 2004 Report Posted October 28, 2004 I bought one of these on the first day out and had been eagerly awaiting its arrival. As a phone/PDA combo i'd say it was a good attempt but the screens low resolution irritated the hell out of me. However, it was a nice thing to use, if a little bulky, and if they bring out an updated version with at least 65k colour screen then it would be a worthy opponent to the Smartphone.
Guest dazza12 Posted October 29, 2004 Report Posted October 29, 2004 I note that the Treo 650 is being made by HTC. Not sure about the 600 though, but it shows that HTC can make a decent smartphone if they put their mind to it!
Guest Chaser81 Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 I used to have a Treo 600 and loved it to bits. Only reason I got rid of it (apart from the size) was its intermittent problems with GPRS (kept crashing and refusing to reinitialise without a reboot). Got kinda annoying.

Not sure about the 600 though, but it shows that HTC can make a decent smartphone if they put their mind to it! and the C500 isnt a decent Smartphone? the early reports ive heard is that the 650 is nice, but it isnt the huge leap above the 600 that people thought it was gonna be.
Guest dazza12 Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 and the C500 isnt a decent Smartphone? the early reports ive heard is that the 650 is nice, but it isnt the huge leap above the 600 that people thought it was gonna be. Re the C500 being a decent Smartphone, I think it's too early to call. I bought the E200 fairly early on, when it was still looking like a better phone than the SPV and E100. I was proved wrong, and was stuck with a 12 month contract I couldn't get out of. I'm not falling for that one again - I guarantee new faults will be found with the C500 the week after I buy one, for which Orange will fob customers off with half-baked rom updates. I'm not saying the C500 is a bad phone, just that I don't trust Orange with their SPV range just yet. If you want another example, just look at the thousands of customers that will never touch '3' due to the NEC e313 no matter what they will do! I will be getting the Treo 650, always preferred Palm OS over Pocket PC.
