Anyone know if this works with logos.bmp? I don't like the look of the analogue clock/calender slip.

Similarly, what's numbers.bmp for??

Thanks,

Stom.

Alreet,

I followed the instructions to the letter, but my bastardised logo doesn't wanna come out to play... :D ..I just get one measley pixel hiding in the corner of the flipscreen when the phone is open. As of today somethin new has developed, and the flip now displays the earpiece volume when the clam is open. What have I done?!

Can you post your logo? that way i'll give it a go and see if I

can replicate your problem.

I can see the problem :D

The image is a .gif file it needs to be .bmp ie a bitmap image

as gifs are not supported.

Here are the images I have edited, I have made a negative image

as that is probably the one you actually want to use.

The zip files are actually bmp but I have the image in gif in my post as

bmp cannot be posted here.

Hello,

Thanks for the help so far......

....but I do actually have the file as a bmp. on my phone, but bmp file extensions are not allowed as an attachment, so I converted to gif to post it up. (Sorry, I should have said) #-o

Are you able to display the image on your screen then? I'll give it another go using the ones you've edited for me, and see if there's any change.

Cheers

I placed my image in IPSMApplication DataHome folder

and make sure you type the following in

HKEY_CURRENT_USER ControlPanel ExternalLCDLogoPath

ipsmapplication datahomeeye.bmp (replace eye.bmp with the image you want to use)

I have tested both of the images above and had them displayed correctly.

Remember after doing the above you need to reboot your phone to make the changes take effect.

Thank you very much.

I dread to tell you how much of a knobhead I am..... Just found what was causing my problem. I am a tool, sorry for wasting your time......

It's meant to be "IPSM", not "ISPM" as I had been typing for some unfathomable reason!

Quoting Jandy: "Hi, no prob. I've tried with two logos. Putting them in ISPMWindows and changing the registry logopath still gives the same result."

"I followed the instructions to the letter" - evidently not TO THE LETTER.

#-o

On the plus side, it looks quite good! :)

Cheers again, at least that one is put to rest now.

Yay, here's one I can help with!

Hi Ikonis,

all U gotta do is press and hold the # key, and the symbols screen should pop up. Voila! Simply select the slash key, and you're ready to cause untold damage to your phone! Hurrah for PHM!

(BTW, you can change beteween T9 mode, ABC and numbers by pressing and holding the * key too!)

Lemme know if U have problems,

J :)

Try installing using the CAB file instead from the website here, place it in IPSMWindowsStart Menu and run it from there :)

As mentioned in the first post in this thread, change the

existing path for the file path of the new image you want to

use.

I normally place the images I want to use in IPSMApplication DataHome

Thats awesome!!!!! :P

thanks, my phone now says BILL accross it in big letters. :!: :!: :!:

anyway im posting this to let others know that i had a bit of a problem working out how to edit the registry (using the PHM editor)

just to clear thing up with others once you have gone into

HKEY_CURRENT_USER ControlPanel ExternalLCD

you do not need to create a new key named LogoPath , you need to press the values button at the bottom and it comes up with a list, you the press on the one named logopath and type in the destination there.

this may have been obvious but i am new to the registry editor so it really confused me, so i thought it would be useful to post it to help stop others having the same problem.

thanks again guys (and girls)

my phone could look a lot different by this time tomorrow!!!!
