E200+Alarm Plugin Q.

Hi.

I have spoken to Richie M. about this issue with the plugin. He has mentioned that he will be redeveloping it early next year.

The problem is the way in which he coded the link to the settings. He basically spoofed the key presses to get to the date and time screen.

On Windows Mobile 2003, the setting are not in the same place, and this is why it goes to Bluetooth instead of Date and Time.

In the short term, you could make use of a tip found at CoolSmartPhone in the Software Tweaks section called 'Easy Line Switcher'. You will basically create a short cut to the clock xml file instead of call settings and add it to your start menu. If you then create a speed dial to your new shortcut. You can get to the alarm settings by holding down one button.

This tip worked for me on my Audiovox SMT5600 as well.

I just changed the contents of the shortcut to settings.exe to be:

23#"Windowssettings.exe" clock.cpl.xml

I then copied this .lnk file to StorageWindowsStart MenuConfiguration

then assigned it to speed dial 9 for easy access. I really hope richie's alarm plugin works on Win2003SE soon!
